People who say BTS is overrated are either in denial or have just never seen them perform live

A reporter once talked about how they were supposed to interview them backstage after a performance but they literally were using oxygen masks so they felt bad about asking them questions. They give it their all

The concerts are impressive. They don’t prepare such theatrical setting like this but the sets are amazing, super professional, although it’s the same performance every day feels different. Plus the crowd. It’s amazing

By the way the horses are pre recorded so they wouldn't be hurt by the sound!

I don’t think the camera people and audience at the game or people watching the super bowel from home can handle BTS doing the halftime show, especially if they go all out like they did at this award show and if they got to do it they definitely go all out because they don’t do anything smell

i was hoping you guys would do a reaction for this performance. this was the first time i saw bts perform at an award show and tbh the grammys are gonna wish they didn't snub bts because they absolutely killed it here.

BTS dropped huge CB hints for their next album in the “Dionysus” performance at the end. The album was inspired by Carl Jung’s theories on Individuation. Jung believed Dionysus was the connection btwn persona-shadow-ego (see writing of persona-shadow-ego on wall in RM intro Persona Performance). Dionysus=focus on the individual (in jung’s terms), therefore I.e. each member got a solo stage. Mythological archetypes for each members intro - Taehyung: Apollo, Jin: Aries, Jimin: Artemis, Suga: Hades, Jungkook: Poseidon, Hobi: Zeus, RM: Dionysus. Research and the horses and maidens onstage are all tied to Dionysus. The 7 lights when joined forms The Crown of Ariadne (named after Dionysus’ wife and after she died he made it into a constellation). So we’ll have to see how it transpires when they release their next album, most likely titled ‘shadow’! And @24:34 aw Greg I saw you wipe those tears:)) Understandable. Jimin is a beautiful and elegant dancer!!

I was lucky enough to see BTS at Wembley stadium in London both nights in June & it was the best two concert nights of my life! And I've been to A LOT of gigs in the last 20 yrs (I'm 40!)! Their performance level is out of this world & I assure u that their stadium shows are just as spectacular, if not more (tho no horses or other live animals! ;-) They actually borrowed some staging frm their tour for this performance so u can just imagine! I can't wait for their next album & tour. Idc how much it costs, it's so worth it!

one thing is for sure, bts are among those very rare artists who deserve literally every drop of fame and acclaim that comes their way. truly, i look at them and every time i feel so glad and happy that people like them are succeeding. so good to see.

I loved how surprised Greg was when Jimin did his solo stage. Jimin trained as a contemporary dancer and was the top in his performing high school class. Of all of BTS, he has the widest array of dance skills. His performance brought me to tears.

The solo stages and parts between mikrocosmos and dionysus are all to snatches of some of their biggest hits

BTS planned and coordinated all the preparations for all these MMA stages for 3 months inspite of being on tour and all the other schedules...I just get mind blown and go WOW whenever BTS does something. You can see how detailed they r and how much effort and their genius they put in everything they do. The sincerity, the obvious skills, the genius really comes through. And yes BTS's stadium tour this year was out of this world.

They won 8 awards before this performance. 5 of the Dasaengs, Grand awards. I still can't believe it was just an award show.😉 I've been to 3 of their concerts in Chicago. My best tickets where I could make them out easily with the naked eye, but not there facial expressions, was $400 at a resellers. Front rows seats I've seen go for over $1,000. I hope you get to go someday. It really is amazing. You're on a high for weeks afterwards. 💜

Enjoyed your reactions 😆 Jimin doing this type of dancing is because he has had a contemporary dance background as well as popping and locking, and martial arts in which he may have learned to do that flip. Anyway, throughout the performance are some of the songs they’ve done over the years. I don’t remember which ones you’ve reacted to before, but I think there’s a music video for almost all of them. 1. RM doing “Intro: Persona” and the music video is titled “Map of the Soul: Persona ‘Persona’ Comeback Trailer” 2. Boy In Luv mv 3. Boy With Luv mv 4. Mikrokosmos - no mv, but there’s a lyric video if you’re interested 5. V’s solo to instrumental remix to “No More Dream” and there’s a mv (this is their debut song/first single as BTS in 2013!) 6. Korean award shows have camera work, set designs, and pyro down to a science. I mean theyre not perfect for sure there has been lots if time when mics cut out and cameras didnt catch the best part but for the most part they are tiers above american ones. And if a major award show like mma or mama had something go wrong they'd be in some serious hot water.

I'm glad you finally did this!! They practiced for THREE MONTHS for this performance, they honestly killed it. It's the best performance I've ever seen tbh. Also, don't worry, Jimin's I NEED U contemporary dance solo also made me tear up.

well to be honest. They do run on treadmill and practice singing to have breath control. They've mentioned it before haha There's a performance explanation that no one asked for : Bts like to do this thing where they keep hints of their next album in their performance . The introduction video is hinting at their next album . Their album Map of the soul: persona is inspired by Jung's map of the soul where Jung divides the human personality into different masks . They're focusing on Shadow,ego and persona. So the introduction is probably a hint to their new album Map of the soul:shadow with how all the shadows were walking whole they were sleeping. They performed boy in luv which was a song from 2014 trying to represent young love and right after its sequel boy with love that shows their mature outlook towards love. The mikocosmos was not actually just cgi but hologram that they had set up for the live performance ( it was pre-recorded but that just means they performed live to the audience just before the show started. ) The texts being shown actually says "I love you" in different languages. The Dionysus performance: The horn at the start represents Dionysius Each member is acting as a Greek god V - Apollo God of sun Jin -Ares God of war Jimin- forgot the name but God of Moon Suga -Hephaestus god of fire Jungkook-Posideon god of water Jhope- zesus god of lighting And finally my boy RM - Dionysus (holding his famous staff that is supposed to produce unlimited wine) The light bulbs coming down to make a constellation represents the Corona Borealis a crown Dionysus gives to his wife Ariadne which he later places to the sky. The ladies throwing flower petals are creating a pathway to her coronation. Finally horses (That scene too was pre-recorded since it wouldn't be good for horses to be on the stage where there is so much fireworks and noise). The man in the middle is wearing a mask is Demaratus who exhiled by the King of Sparta and wears a veil as a show of anger to the King that defied him ( probably a subtle shade to the big companies that try to bring bts down but you never know )

So glad to see you guys enjoying it. Speaking of superheroes, they do have a fun song about being modern day superheroes called Anpanman which is a reference to a japanese superhero thats made of bread. And saves kids by feeding them bread from his head 😁

Some parts were actually prerecorded so they dodn't have to quick change. But while the footage was playing, they were on stage singing

But no seriously, there are medics on standby on their shows, although I think it's standard procedure for the venue (but not sure lol). We were on the standing area for their Hong Kong Love Yourself Tour, and every now and then, medics would come with wheelchairs to escort out people who've fainted or fallen ill in the middle of the concert. But I think it has more to do with the exhaustion of the actual day (especially if they've lined up for the merch beforehand), rather than actually seeing the boys. But. I have to say that you really have to see them live, even if you're just a bit of a fan. You won't regret it, I promise. It's just that you'll have to fight for your tickets if you want good seats 😂😂😂

They do meet their fans (face to face) actually at fan-meet events. Basically the boys sit at a table and the fans go down the row talking to them, giving them gifts, and getting autographs. Only a certain amount of people can go tho (obviously, otherwise we get the “killed by accident” or sitting for 10 hrs problem) so getting in/getting tickets is pretty difficult 😂😂

i went to a concert in their last tour and let me tell u many people faint like seriously and it was so loud so loud i felt like my head was going to explode but their concert is unreal they perform for like almost 3 hours straight and the lighting is so pretty especially because of the sea of army bombs

nice reaction! you know, I noticed that many times you guys made comments like “you know they do this without vocal warmups” or stuff like that, that I know are only jokes...but the thing is, that’s not how the fanbase thinks of them or even likes to think of them. they’re not perfect, they’re human like the rest of us...part of the reason why we love them so much is because they work *so* insanely hard at their craft: from singing, dancing, performing, composing and writing music. they absolutely *do* do vocal warmups and stretching, and it’s the reason why they got this far and became so good at what they do. So the audience watched it on the screen. This explains all of the AR effects! Basically BTS were performing for an imaginary audience 😂 Having a prerecorded performance gives the boys time to change outfits and prepare for the grand finale performance! 🔸Dionysus: the members intros that you see were prerecorded but they also did perform it live for the audience with the exception of Jimin. His solo was completely live. RM's part was also completely live as well. The horses were prerecorded. They werent on stage during the actual performance 😅🙏🏼. The actual Dionysus song and dance break was performed completely live!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Actualy it took 3 months! The behind of this was released on an article. It was a whole 3 mnth preparation with more than 700 ppl involved in it. They evn customly made the water tank for jungkook and more than 30 costumes and everything😇
