BTS has stated many times that their Wings concept is based on youth/boys falling into temptation and losing their innocence. This is a good continuation of their overarching concept of youth; their previous era, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, is centered around the idea of a reckless and carefree youth that leads to growing up and falling into temptation (you can see this in the I Need U and Run videos). we saw the boys at the prime of their free-spirited youth and hints of their downfall. interpretation of the different ways adulthood tempted. It has biblical and mythological refferences of good and evil

It is based on the novel Demian. In fact, the whole Wings album based on the novel. Their short films explains much of it. you can search for alot of theory videos and websites of explanation ^^, if you interested, coz I’m sure BTS made the theory for fans to learn some lessons and have an insight about their minds. However, for non-fans can just enjoy the music, they are still bop anyways 🌚 I enjoyed their music since 2015 until last year, i started becoming an army and i go trough the theory videos. It blows my mind on how much lessons you can learn from it. I would say you dont have to be afraid on how you interpret the musics or videos coz there were never a specific explanation only fan theories that alot of people agree on it 😉

He's not wrong though the whole album was really based on Herman Hesse's book "Demian." It so hard to understand when you didn't read the book but after reading it you'll come to understand some of the happenings in the music video which is great. Also, if you want to understand the WINGS album and this song clearly, I would recommend you watch 7 short films of this album from 1 to 7 for better understanding. Yeah the song is about being wrapped up in temptation both wanting to fall, but wanting to retain his innocence. All throughout HYYH he was avoiding, but BST is when he accepted. The blindfold is when he wanted to ignore his reality of no longer being able to be innocent and the release of the hands and green tears are the unveiling, or submission to the truth. You may have missed it, but there is the mother Mary's face that explodes. She being the virgin as well as the sensual theme exposes them as having no way back. Like a virgin's hymen or like Jin's face that is smooth like porcelain, once you've cracked, you're no longer pure. You can't come back together. Like a statue when stressed, he is beautiful but broken. You should definitely check out the behind the scenes and also the Japanese version of Blood Sweat and Tears.

Actually, it was all connected to the 7 cinematic trailers of WINGS album~ BEGIN, LIE, STIGMA, FIRST LOVE, REFLECTION,MAMA, AWAKE.~ it was in chronological order, then you’ll understand a lot of things in Blood Sweat and TEars, WINGs album, didn’t became BTS massive breakthrough album for nothing.~ 😉

actually.. for your information.. technocrane was used, but for the part with Jin staring at the painting, them running out of the museum, J-hope on the fountain, them dancing on the museum and Jin walking up to the statue was mostly a real cameraman walking around and holding the camera.. the crane was only used to create a bird side angled view to show the production value of the set and how the environment creates the vibe with the tone of the music..

The whole main theme of WINGS was *Boy Meets Evil* The same title as the Albums Intro. They stated the main concept of the Album was meeting various temprtations and evils during maturing into adulthood and growing up. Like destructive relationships, addiction drug use or emotional turmoil, depression etc. This MV&the short films were continuations of the storylines the members' personas in the previous MVs had experienced. What was really cool with this, is that the individual storylines of the personas were continued incorporating the personal& real thoughts of the BTS members to further the story& to achieve this they used the Demian book as a way to connect these two (fictional mv characters&BTSmembers' emotions&thoughts). So to really understand the MV/Lyrics etc you could look at it from these 3 different angles.

The museum is a set. The organ and the pipes are practical. Suga was actually playing but no clue if the pipes were connected. You should watch the MV making for this. Its all sets built for this MV. But, lol, what did they think of the music.

For me, the "You" in the song, is not a person, but is the concept of creating Art. Like, they are tempted to give all of themselves to their Art, even losing themselves or going to a dark place - possibly even trading their souls with the Devil to get better at Art/Music. So they know that if they give EVERYTHING of themselves, they might be more successful, but they would lose themselves to their Art. I base that idea on the many art forms present in the song, but also that the giant picture of Icarus flying close to the sun was present in one scene. You must know that even if a Bts song sounds/looks like a love song, it's often MORE than that. The boys think in layers, and that's reflected in their songs/lyrics/dances/etc.

Actually there are many metaphors and symbolism, the thing is the lyrics sometimes doesn’t actually mean it. So many theories goes, how In the past they have done many sins and so in this video Jin is like the one who’s saves everyone by making a deal with the devil ( which is v). In which case Jin starts breaking because that’s the deal to free all the members. As you can see the statues start to break and jimin is released from the blind fold.

My very first BTS MV was Blood, Sweat, and Tears. That was almost a year ago. I remember that I was sure that Jimin was a girl. I was mesmerized by this song and mv and I watched it at least 5 times to try to understand what it meant. There are so much symbolism and many things which gives one glue. but you don't notice them by one watch. B,S and T is still one of my absolute favorite BTS songs. I remember that I also was fascinated by how beautiful these boys are. I wasn't sure if they really are real. Thought they were some kind of computer animation. Well, now i know they are very real and I still love BTS.

I think the wings missing off showed that he is now human and Jin was now the statue. Traded places and souls. When an Angel gets his wings off, they become human.

The wings weren’t on the Boy cause that is based of the painting. This painting is called 'Landscape with the Fall of Icarus'. It’s about a boy who’s father gives him wings that r stuck with wax. The boy flys too close to the sun and the wings melt. He falls in the ocean and drowns. And that is the painting where the boy is jumping of the ceiling in the mv. And it’s based of loads of other artworks

you are on point.. the WINGS album is based on the book. It is actually a continuation from their previous albums that took on the journey of youth facing various challenges in life and now in another stage in life, you are faced with evils in life (seduction, love, greed, lust etc). You should also take a look at the whole discography of the album - from the intro song - Boys Meet Evil and the mini movies / trailers they released prior to the release of album... BTS and BH thrive on artistic outlet not only thru their songs but their MVs too... :D

BST is a moombahton song, hence the Latin feels. Lol it was practical, it hit Yoongi in the head a couple times. It's about temptation and we'll, there's some other ish going in that's related to hyyh stories and Taehyung is the tempter, the fallen angel, with Jin being the last one to fall and make a deal. Jimin taking off his blindfold, theory is Yoongi tries to keep Jimin blindfolded because he wants to keep him restricted, now whether this is good or bad, depends on interpretation and Japan Version makes it seem like he was trying to protect him. Whereas Namjoon is actively trying to corrupt Jungkook in both versions of the mv. Tae is the good guy gone bad, something that happens in I Need U is why he's this way he is. Also that end, we don't know for sure if that's Jins actual reflection or a parallel him. Lol so much to say but hyyh series needs to be seen first fully, so no spoilers. If you ever want to react to a live, I think this one from Jimmy Kimmel should be fine. *You guys/girls did a great job especially starting with Blood, Sweat and Tears. It's pretty much like you would try to understand a book that is based on another book but starting almost at the end of the second chapter. It doesn't help either that this mv is packed with symbolism that is hard to grasp if you don't have a good knowledge about Renaissance art, religious imagery, psychology, philosophy and/or German literature.* *I think everyone has explained everything by now, just three little points that might be interesting:* a.) Jin plays Sinclair and V plays Demian (btw. Emil Sinclair is the main character - Max Demian is his "friend"). In the original Sinclair doesn't kiss Demian but the other way around: " Close your eyes, Sinclair!" I closed my eyes in obedience. I felt a light kiss on my lips where there was always a little fresh blood which never would go away." b.) The first classical music piece was by Bach (Mass in B minor) - the second by Buxtehude (sorry don't know the "title" and I'm too lazy too search for it ^.^) c.) A (at least I believe so) very important phrase gets overlooked very easily. Above the mirror at the end you can see a quote by Nietzsche (in it's German original form btw). Not only does this sum up the essence of the story but the author (Hermann Hesse) was highly influenced by Jung, who himself was influenced by Nietzsche. The same Carl Jung that phrased the term Synchronicity (which plays a part in quantum physics), which means there is always a reason for something to happen even if causality doesn't apply. He said something could also be connected by meaning (or to put it in other words, it happens because it should happen (destiny?!)). And to leave you with a bomb shell to use BTS' words: "From the day the universe was formed. Past infinite worlds. Probably in our past life and in our next lives, We’ll be together forever. Because all of this is not coincidence. Because we’ve found our destiny" (DNA) (That's all of course only what I took from everything. I could be wrong, but that's the beauty of all these mvs and shortfilms. ^.^)

In non-titles they told more their thoughts and stories, or talking about the society and young generation, maybe songs like that will worth more discussing and sharing. Also, no mention is made of the scene that seems directly cut from Da Vinci's The Last Supper, that positions Jin in the spot usually reserved for Judas. As we know, Judas gave into temptation by giving up you know who, just as Jin seems to be giving into temptation by kissing the fallen angel statue. V, I suppose, is the living embodiment of that fallen angel, which is why he leaps out the window in front of a famous painting depicting Icarus falling from the sky after flying Apollo's chariot too close to the sun, and also explains V hanging seemingly in midair in an eternal kind of 'fall.' V, according to the bridge, would also be the 'tempter,' and the link to the second (which is a reference to Hesse's Demian that question's Christian norms of good and evil ('the second' referring to socially ascribed but perhaps not actual evil.)

RM said in an interview that Blood, Sweat, & Tears is about the younger generation that grow through these phases of life such as being tempted to do things. They were trying to explain the dark reality as well because this MV is based on the dark reality of youngsters of today. V was the evil and Jimin is on the good side. Jin was the one being tempted by V. Suga is also on the evil side. Jungkook and J-Hope arr on the good side like Jimin. This is a real set that they went to. They don't use green screen much. You should see the making of this MV. This is a real museum they went to, not green screen.

this what makes BTS different and more special to me. They brought music with story that left you thinking. You need to see their wings series story that each members have, and also the prologue and epilogue. It would all connected.
