Yipppeee thank you!! Those high notes are from Adora one of BTS producers. She lends her amazing vocals to Sugas Seesaw and Jins Tonight. On another note researchers have found a group of hybrid whales with similar frequency but still way far of that one found back then. Communication is definitely happening but whales are still a mystery..then again isn't life itself.

The 52-hertz whale is an individual whale of unidentified species, which calls at the very unusual frequency of 52 Hz. This pitch is a much higher frequency than that of the other whale species (source wikipedia). This song is a metaphore of teens who always feel lonely in society. They shout, scream and protest but others don't hear them. Prove that BTS always have references for their songs.

Guys 52 hertz whale is an actual whale and is know as the loneliest creature in the world. It's frequency is 52 hertz which is a lot higher than the normal frequency range of other whales because of which it cannot communicate with the other whales, hence its lonely. Thats why the name of the song is Whalien 52

Whalien 52 is after the loneliest creature in the world. An whale found alone in 1950 something i think that spoke in 52 hertz and other whales couldnt hear her cause they spoke in different number.Thats why she was alone.BTS took that hertz reference and made it as their voices that cant be heard.This song has so much emotion and Hobi's lyric "I believe in your hertz" always gets me.My favorite BTS song.You can see whales in many BTS content as its a sugnificant song for their story as a group.The struggles they name and pains. Whalien 52 may be an upbeat song but its emotional.Also about the whole high pitch sound yes,its the whale speaking and looking for friends.Looking for someone to hear them.

I really liked when you said that the younger Bangtan wanted their voices to be heard and now that they are heard they are helping other people to make their voices be heard too... Many people in the fandom have said that we (Bangtan and Army) were lonely whales that were alone an wanted their voices to be heard by someone, then we found each others and all those lonely whales found other whales that could hear them... Whalien 52 is a song that means so much to me, so I'm really glad that you understood its meaning and the deepness of it, it's a really beautiful song

whalien 52 is actually a true to life story. She is known for being the lonliest whale in the world because no one can hear her from a far or she had a different tone. BTS is referring themselves as the whale. that even though they're lonely, they still got attention but still feels lonely. people found out about the whale but for the whale,it doesn't matter because she's still lonely. (it's a she)

Theres actually a whale which makes sounds in hertz52 and its the only whale in the world to do so. Scientists call it the lonliest in the world as it produces a different wavelength other whales cant hear it . Its beautiful how bts connected that to themselves.

Whalien 52 and move are my all time fave. THey never fail to make me feel emotional. Whalien was a metaphor of the lonely whale. 134340 was the name given to pluto aftr it was demoted as a “dwarf planet” Yoongi said in an interview, he wrote it as a metaphor of something thats being separated from something else. Move was a song when they moved out from their old apt. 💜

Whalien 52 refers to a real whale that was known as the "52 hertz whale". Because it sang at a different frequency from other whales, it could not communicate or mate with other whales despite being able to get close to them, labeling it as the loneliest animal in the world. BTS is comparing that to the feeling of being famous- the loneliness, the feeling of being around others but unable to communicate with them. The high pitched wail in the song also seems to suit this, considering the high pitch at which whales communicate. So you were very right to point that out! And 134340, of course, is about Pluto, which is officially labeled "134340" in astrology. Another song about loneliness, this time comparing the estrangement after a relationship to the loneliness of the outcasted ex-planet. In "Move", BTS discuss their rise from a tiny, cramped apartment- where they slept seven to a room and barely had space to breathe (as Joon raps)- to a bigger room, to new heights of success. It's a lovely, heartwarming song that also discusses their struggles- they discuss physical fights they've had, exchanging kicks and punches, but getting closer. And the most lovely part of this song is that they promise each other to not forget this apartment, to not forget their roots.

I actually have a deep bond of sorts with whalien 52, if you can have a bond with a song. I always loved it but since that moment I began regarding it as magical. I had had a very difficult day at university and home, really hard, and I remember feeling like completely marginated and alone; like no one really understood me and no one ever would because there was something wrong with me. I remember being on the bus on my way back home and I was listening to music, so stuck in my thoughts I wasn't really listening and then whalien came in and Jungkook voice said "I'm a whale" and I began laughing. It's was like every cloud inside my mind disappeared and as I listened to the song, I felt completely comforted and surrounded by love and understanding. It changed my day drastically, just like magic, I felt completely different: happy and understood.

Kate's reaction whenever I listen to Move is the same. If I will declare how BTS helped me, it's because of that song always. Their discography are one hell of a treasure and Move holds a special place in my heart forever. They made that song when they moved from their very first dorm(if you watch Rookie King or their older bangtan bombs, you will see it) a bigger dorm. I remember one of their producer posted a vid with Move as background when they also move from their old office location to a bigger one too.

Whalien 52 hit me so hard when I first realised what it was about... I now have a 52hertz whale tattoo'd on my shoulder. 134340 also, I liked the way these 2 songs sounded before I looked up their meaning and honestly, they made a song for the loneliest creature in the world and to Pluto, the furthest "planet" in our solar system who scientists decided was no longer a "planet" ... I've never been in to emo songs and nothing really struck me as relatable but these two songs solidified my love for these guys because they don't just try to reach the masses with shallow love songs or break up songs... they try to reach everyone, even a whale who isn't able to communicate with a single soul on earth... and spot on with the call out to the whale sound - it's exactly what that is.

All these songs are precious to ARMY. And very special to me. Whalien holds a deep meaning for me, and when it first came out, it was my 2nd year in college. I felt real lonely at home cause I was always left out and never heard like the lonely whale. But I eventually found other lonely whales who heard me, and now we're not lonely whales anymore, because we have each other now. Pluto is a song that just calms me. It's just too good ;-; The song Move or 이사 is really special to me. They're saying goodbye to their old home to move in to the new, to climb to higher heights. It's special to me because it feels like saying goodbye to my childhood. When this song came out, I was in my 1st year of college. Around that same time, so many major changes were happening to my small, rural hometown. So everything I grew up with, I said goodbye to. But I also use it to feel better when I lose a loved one. I look back at the people who've taught me so much and say thank you and goodbye. It helps me when i try to move on. Like the song tells me, "you may be losing this and that, but it's time to say thanks and let it go, because things will be okay..."

It's one of the good reasons why they're so big as a band. They're stories tellers. And the stories are real, not made up. That's why it touches your heart, cause we all have the same hardships in life. That's also why as an Army, i'll stay by their side forever. whalien 52, you definitely got that. BTs as a group have always said they wanted their music to be heard. but at the beginning coming from such a small and unknown agency, the odds were really againts them. just imagine trying to survive in an industry were people like them are not supposed to top or to some extent survive(hundred of idol groups debut in SK and only a few even get to be known).

I remember when I first saw the song I was like “Did they really do a song about moving on ?” and then I listened to it and I cried so much. I mean I think many people have experienced a move and when you’ve lived in a place for so many years it’s always hard to leave because of all the memories you have there. Move means a lot for me because it reminds all these memories I don’t wanna forgot. Even now when I listen to this song I can remember all these memories. Thank to the boys. i guess you could interpret 134340 as a song using Pluto as a metaphor for a relationship that turned bad. How when we are with somebody and that person is our whole universe and as soon smt goes south or its over, that person is not even a star to us, its nothing. how easy is to forget something that was once important to us, just like pluto suddendly not being a planet anymore (at that time).

They moved on from hate and companies being biased about them, because they weren't in the top three companies at that time. They struggled, even when they went on shows they were still ostracized because they were from a smaller company. So that's why BigHit does not put BTS or TXT on varieties shows.They have their own shows now. Bighit protects these boys from being hurt from these major companies, Bighit just made their own shows for BTS and now TXT.

Yes pluto has soo much texture it feels like u r in space! The song is in a way that pluto is singing to sun how pluto is just curcling around sun without evn a name now cs they removed pluto as a planet and named it 134340. Theres also references how the temperature of the planet is below 248 which actually is. I was so amazed by this song. Bts being unique af.

these songs are all really really good, and would make a really interesting reaction to watch I think. I don't know if you prefer 3 similar songs or 3 totally different ones, this is kind of a mix haha, they have a lot of similarities but also a lot of differences as well! both in sound and lyrical content (more on the deeper/emotional side)

In the BTS museum exhibit in Seoul they shared that Whalien 52 is a metaphor about how they are the whale and ARMY found them and gave them a voice.

Until now listening to MOVE still brought tears to me, knowing what they been through at that time in that small apartment and hearing Namjoon said never to let the smell and memories of that leaves them ( to me that what's keep them humble and who they are today... not forgetting where they came from )

Just thought I’d let you know that there is a whale with a frequency of 52 herts which is much higher than other whales making it most often unable to interact with other whales and thus lonely, hence the name ‘whalien 52’. Also the number of the song ‘134340’ is the number that was given to Pluto after it was demoted from a planetary status. The speaker in the song is Pluto expressing it’s feelings. The songs are so clever in a way that’s almost not even noticeable at first! They can literally be interpreted in multiple levels! Anyway I loved this reaction and your channel!!

Thanks for reacting to the more underrated gems in BTS' discography. Quick note about the lyrics of Pluto: you're quite right about the comparison of Pluto losing its planet status to someone being ditched from a relationship. RM's verse mentions "Eris" ("have you found your Eris"). Eris is a dwarf planet in the solar system, and because it's about the same size as Pluto, its discovery in 2005 led to Pluto's demotion from planet to just a number, 134340.

The reason why Whalien 52 is called Whalien 52 is that the normals hertz of a whale is a 10 to a 39, and 39 is the max frequency hertz a whale can hear up to. This whale BTS is writing about is a whale who has a hertz 52 Hertz and that's not normal, hence "Whale" (an aquatic mammal) and "Alien" (an unknown species from far away)

134340 is 1 of the 3 bts songs on NASA playlist to be played while going to space. Plus 248 in the song relate to Pluto too because it take 248 Earth years for Pluto to complete one orbit around the Sun

Fun fact- (I think someone actually might have already mentioned this actually) Those high notes in Whalien 52 are done by Adora. She's a producer/singer and works for bighit. She's lent her voice to some other BTS tracks as well. Also some of the boys solo works, most noticeably Yoongi's 'Far Away'. She's incredibly talented as well. And I'm so glad you got patreon, I just signed up and will be looking forward to the BTS run and Bon Voyage episodes. You should start from the beginning. I purple you💜

If i am correct that whale does exist scientist called it the most loneliest whale because his pitch/hertz is 1 hertz higher than the other whale so even if it calls the other whale the other whale does not understand it because his pitch is higher

I really like how you get a bit of info on the songs first and analyse them so well. I haven't heard whalien in a while and just saw that the line about being a lonely island and being able to shine is the same quote in the beginning of heartbeat. Or similar anyway. I guess they related heartbeat to whalien a lot because they had that whale floating around RM in the video. It's like they're saying they used to be lonely whales and now (in heartbeat) they found each other with their unique voices. And not their literal voices but the voice of who they are inside. 134340 is one of my absolute faves because of that different sound they have. And like you said how the vocals switch back and forth seamlessly and blend with each other. I hope BTS see this video and how much you enjoy their music and feel for them. Their songs are so beautiful and the lyrics so relatable. That's why people love them so much.

idk if u guys know this but there is a 52 heartz whale and it is an individual whale of unidentified species which calls at the very unusual frequency of 52 hz, this pitch is a much higher frequency than that of the other whale species and appears to be the only individual emitting a whale call at this frequency, it has been described as the "world's loneliest whale", its so sad and bts is so smart to put this in a song to express their loneliness

Do you guys know that, after That song 134340 released, months later, Pluto belongs to again Sun's circle again officially!!! Whalien Move are emotional songs Move made Armys cry!!!!!! They produced wrotten after they moved New dorm, after 2 years debut!! That dorm is that 5 years slept in one room!! 3 years Trainee+2 years debut, they even slept with other 2 Trainees , but they left , did't want to be Idol, one of them leaved as producer in Big Hit!!

some of bts songs are gonna be played in space one of the choose one is 134340 (PLUTO), the other two are moonchild by rm and mikrokosmos it is nice to see that now they are not just reaching out to the other side of the world but even the space

Thanks y'all for the reaction, these three songs each carry such heavy, deep sentiment for different aspects people experience in life; and in particular with Move and Whalien52 for me, they surround you with so much comfort Also I'm not sure how prioritized y'all are in distinguishing the members' voices from one another quite yet, but especially with these lyric videos, y'all might have to be careful and watch a couple videos for one song because the creators occasionally mislabel the members' voices! (I noticed that it happens much more with vocal line than it does with rap line) Like, for example, in the 134340 video y'all reacted to: t's nicely done and easy to read, but in the first half of the very first chorus, they actually mislabeled Seokjin's vocals as Jungkook's! It's actually Jimin and Seokjin singing back and forth with each other (not Jimin and JK), before it switches over to Jungkook and Taehyung doing the same. Thank you both for the reaction again, it's really amazing how BTS's music can speak to so many people in different ways, and it was great seeing the both you connect with each song. Seeing Cait choke up was really relatable too (':

If you watch ReactToTheK, a reaction channels by students majoring in music, they listen to the melodies, beats, and instruments and in turn relate that to BTS' voices AND you start to tell that BigHit makes their music purposefully! By that I mean the music matches the voices matches the meaning, literally. Like what Josh was saying about Pluto song, so didn't the song sound "circular" to you? It's smoothness, the way they used their voices fading in and out and sounding round and round? I might sound strange lol but believe me, these guys ALL make sure their music carries every aspect of human nature and sound. Btw, Whalien 52 is one of my favorites and I cried so hard when I realized how profound it was! Lol. I loved 134340 as soon as I heard it and knew they were comparing it to a relationship but also about Pluto no longer classified as a planet. Move was when they made enough money from all their hard work to move into a bigger place. I cried too like Kate! And for the same reasons! Lol. You should watch them sing it live! Also you two might like Ma City! 💜🤟🤗

The holy trinity 😭😭😭😭💓 fav songs. Just add hold me tight and dead leaves. My fav ocean animals are whales and turtles ksks they are so cute and I love them. Plus Whale + Alien = GENIUS. Move made me cry, this was my first time reading the lyrics, I thought the song was abt moving on from a relationship. But they were talking abt moving on from their hard past and onto bigger better things and taking a leap of faith, in their career and in their friendship and life. It made me so sad 😭😭😭 especially hobi and suga's verse.

Whalien 52 is one of my favorite songs, so underrated. The sheer genius of using the discovery of that single whale emitting at a frequency (52Hz) that no other whale is capable of hearing and turning it into this incredibly poetic and powerful metaphor is mind-blowing

I really love how Josh shared how he connected to Suga’s verse and I can totally see the connection between their lives. Especially with Yoongi growing up w/o financial stability and having to keep moving and his parents starting businesses but they keep failing then being in debt. An upbringing like that can lead to a vicious cycle but just like Suga was able to escape with his passion to achieve his dreams I feel Josh was able to escape due to his pure will and perseverance as well. 💜💜💜💜

love yourself: tear is supposed to be the album where they focus on the "sad, ugly" part of love, so yeah pluto is about the end of a relationship, where your life revolves around a person and suddenly not anymore (pluto and the sun)

The reference they took for Whalien 52 is from a a whale that sings/ communicates at 52HTZ frequency ..which is way more higher than normal frequency of a whale.. therefore other whales can't hear her or communicate with her..so she often sings alone in the middle of a ocean..it is kind of the metaphor they are using here...it just shows that how cleverly they took the reference and made it such a beautiful song.
