He was supposed to be acting (for Prologue) there and their dialogue wasn't going to be heard, so they just had to basically come off as brotherly by their gestures and actions. The documentary has subtitles for both the English and Korean parts - not sure which version you saw. Do watch the one from BangtanTV. There's no official subtitles for the song, but there are lyric videos that give you a gist of what the Korean parts mean. I'd suggest you react to the song first before the documentary, since the documentary would spoil the song for you.

Yes, languages do get lost in translation a lot. I'm trying to learn a bit of Korean myself and the sentence structure and grammar and pronunciation is all different. Korean sentences always end in the verb or adjective rather than going directly after the subject and they tend to also omit obvious things like "my" when it's clear from context that you're talking about "my friends" so it would probably end up something along the lines of "Friends and I store went" if you tried to translate it directly. And there are some sounds and vowels that we just plain don't make in English and are really hard to get right. It also doesn't help that Korean has a formality system built into the language, so you could say "I went to the store" in three different ways depending on the formality of the situation (if you're talking to a close friend vs. Someone older than you vs. Someone to be extremely respectful to) and it would be extremely rude to use a lesser formality at times, so really A LOT of that gets lost when translating to English. If you listen to the actual Korean words they are saying and not just the English translation and you know what sounds to listen for, you can tell if they're speaking formally or informally to each other. It's hard, but very fascinating. It's a beautiful language and I look forward to the day when I can watch a RUN BTS or a live without subtitles and understand 50% of what they say. That's my goal. One of these days.

The documentary on BangtanTV have subtitles so you should be good. And the lyric video, doesn't have the English. But in the documentary it does subtitles the Korean parts. Or when you do the lyric vid bring up doolset. If you do both in one vid you'll get it easily.

Before when he was talking while he peeled the apple on how eating at night wasn’t really good for you-> thus birthed the quote “night apple is poison apple.” It isn’t completely drunk banter considering the context, but even if you watched the entire live it’s quite funny. A night apple is a poison apple is pretty spot on though - it is just a direct translation from a proverb they have and in English it may sound funny but he is pretty right. You eat an apple before you go to bed and your stomach will be messed up - works like a charm for me every time I try :-/

The documentary even had more English subtitles for the Korean lyrics than the lyric video 😅 but not all of the lyrics, so maybe that's what the comment meant? 🤷🏽‍♀️ But yeah, the lyric video doesn't have translated subtitles so some people have done non-official lyric videos after or doolset is also an option
