He is the consumate perfectionist. Trained originally in interpretive dance, has a black belt in 3 martial arts, and adapted to hip hop easily. He didn't even sing before BTS. He is the total package.

Most of BTS fans don't like kpop. I despised pop as well. Which is why it was so surprising for me that I liked them. Was in Denial for 2 weeks 😂 They're very versatile genre wise, so people end up finding their type of songs in their discography, if they look properly

I'm a 64-year-old Man who grew up with The Beatles and I can honestly say that I haven't seen this kind of pure, unmitigated joy and love from a Musical Act since them/then. I happened to be watching SNL this night and was so incredibly impressed with these guys that I told everyone I knew about them. The humility they express by no one intentionally trying to upstage the others is a lesson we can all learn from. I love this group and I'm not afraid to admit that every time I watch this Video, I cry, simply because of how Joyous they make life seem again. Thank You BTS!

@Kyle Jones Their fans sold out Hyundai cars. Minors can't do that. A large part of the fandom are adults, including myself. Nothing wrong with wearing makeup. Freddie did, Adam Lambert does, Boy George, Adam Ant, Bowie, pretty much most metal bands...The list goes on. Funny enough though, the youngest BTS member is a black belt in taekwondo and has the balls to be suspended over a massive canyo upside down. The leader is in the top 1% of people with the highest IQs in Korea. One of the dancers got rejected for a rival company then still practised for hours outside the audition room, which caught the attention of a talent spotter. The oldest member has become a part of UNICEF's honours club for the sheer amount he donates, 2nd youngest has a voice deeper than the Atlantic Ocean, other dancer studies interpretive dance which is physically demanding on your body and finally, Yoongi had to choose between lunch or bus fares and worked his ass off to get to his position. Their good deeds make them more manly than some gross, fragile men with unwashed asses. It's not gay to have a wash for once.

I don’t think people understand how difficult it is to do choreo transitions on a small stage like that without bumping into anything. These guys are pros.

Not to mention that SNL is historically a REALLY hard set. There's just something about the mixing or the stage that can throw even well experienced performers way off, and often they're only singing too. So BTS actually did remarkably well

I’m a 69 year old grandmother my husband 70… we only came to know about BTS months back through our grandaughter and daughter , so we went searching to have a listen …this is the very first song we heard ….. now we have grown to love every one of these fantastically talented guys each one so sweet and loving ,,, so now we all talk together about all the goings on of these lovely South Korean boys …we look at older Utube vidoes …some so fun and funny …… I love this song , Boys In Love .. especially Life Goes on .I really love them all … though our Grandaughter is thrilled about Jin ….. so here we are …we are out here … we have listened and grown to love you BTS Boys … you are each special and oh so cool . Luis Rodriguez Bts is huge because they work really hard with trying to use their their music to spread awareness , inspire change and send a positive message . The English translation of their korean name is “bullet proof Boy Scouts” Bts music tackles a lot of social issues , injustices and challenges societal norms. A lot of things they based on South Korean society issues that relate to the world. They tackle mental health , anxiety, depression ,suicide, academic, etc. they cover important topics such as self love , self respect , motivation , not giving into pressure. This is why their fans are super devoted because they respect a group that connects with things we all relate. Plus you don’t really hear or see much artists that do these things nowadays.

I just want to add , it’s sometimes hard to being a bts fan. Some people look at bts at just another boyband and say negative things but them , never bother understand the REAL reasons why their huge. Yes I understand the fanbase can be annoying but at the same time it’s also because bts and their army ( fanbase) have always face a lot of struggles and prejudice. Even before bts made it

If you enjoy BTS's performances, I highly recommend their MMA 2019 & 2018 stages, their Korean performances tend to be more elaborate, creative, & artistic compared to Western counterparts. @@yuta432 I am just so sad and worried that all of them have to go through military service. I fear they will be disbanded. If South Korea gives an exemption to athletes and classical musicians, they should certainly allow for Kpop talent that reaches hundreds of millions, promoting SK culture and tourism. They have almost become the epitome of SK's best to offer.

@@allanw7247 I feel the same way, they did so much to promote and bring bank into Korea. That is not an easy feat. It will not be fair not to exempt them. I can't understand how some Army even agreeing that they should serve because that is Korea pride for men to serve but they exempt it for certain criteria. Either they are multi Kpop fans or haters

Thinking about how almost 5 years ago I was scrolling on KZfaq and saw Emma Stone on the thumbnail and I love her so i clicked lol, no one warned me about me falling for the beautiful face, amazing stage presence and charisma of that pink hair Korean dude, I swear I looped the video like 10 times that night couldn’t take my eyes off him, and now almost 5 years after I love him even more and waiting for his return from military. With jimin till the end

Most kpop idols, in general, are very impressive due to the strict training that they get. I suggest you watch other performances of other idols. (MONSTA X, SEVENTEEN, EXO, etc). & the standards of the kpop industry is getting higher and higher, so there’s not much room for disappointment :)

Sharing heartfelt lyrics from having been bullied, received death threats, openly shared mental health and other struggles, and even in Korean language attracting a huge global fanbase bc of helping so many feel less alone, less depressed, strong enough to get through difficult times, inspiring learning to love themselves.
