That Hamburger incident and kick out Jhope's tweet, it always breaks me down! How can anyone be soooo mean!? This is also another reason why I'm so proud that each one of them stood their grounds no matter how many stones were thrown at them and reached this milestone.

BTS r really forgiving and good people, I could never, LMAO. Also people forget how young JK was in some of those incidents, recommend watching Burn the Stage, Break the Silence and Bring the Soul, those are their Official Documentary, each of them has 1 Movie and a Series with 8 Episodes, you're gonna actually see how open they are with their mental health, trauma. Also, BTS gets a new Series on Disney Plus, and J-Hope a Stand-Alone Documentary about his Album.

I feel your pain ladies over the treatment of Jk and Jhope. The adults in the JK incident should be ashamed of themselves as rather than being good examples for JK, they were the opposite. It’s amazing that JK can be so forgiving considering the incident occurred on film and not privately. As for Jhope, the boys hardly ever feel truly comfortable practicing choreography without Jhope there to lead them like during the practice for the 2022 Grammys. It goes to show that Jhope is not only their sunshine, but a major asset to the group’s cohesiveness. So kudos to all of our boys bc they always rise above the selfishness of some people, and go beyond to show others that they care, and they even save face in embarrassing moments. Nothing can break the love and loyalty that true ARMYs have for BTS. Thank you for your reaction. Wishing you lovely ladies a blessed and prosperous 2023. Stay safe and take care. 💜🫰🏼🌺

Bts are angels honestly. They forgive and continue to invite others to share in their successes. I didnt realise that Im a petty b**ch until I became Army 😂 They inspire me to be better every day x The death threats, vile SM comments and disrespect thats thrown at BTS goes beyond normal dislike. People really need to reflect on themselves, its not normal behaviour.

Hobis Sister had to call out weirdos same with JK's brother because they don't know boundaries, JK's brother even had to delete his Instagram Account for a while. Hobis Sister gives no shit tho, she blocks people, call out their asses and said she deleted everything with her baby brother and won't post anything Hobi related anymore to protect him. Hobi still struggles to his day with vial things people said to him, in the early days even ARMY wanted him out, because he is from the Jeolla-Do Province and Gwangju. People from there face regional racism and discrimination, because it's where the democratic Movement started (and the Right Wing People in SK hate it). Hobi over the years had to deal with Right Wing Politicians and Entertainment Company Owners and Nazi Forums, trying to manipulate his career. That's why BTS Songs like Ma City, Paldogangsan were political risks, early in their Career. It didn't help that Hobi has a really thick dialect and is outspoken about the Discrimination against Gwangju People.

I’d just like to point out mass voting isn’t a new thing. This has been happening long before bts with the other big groups before them. Every fandom mass votes. For some reason it’s only a problem if army does it. Even last year it was proven fandoms were joining together to vote for groups they don’t even stan, just to push bts out of the lead. Groups I even like coming 2nd or 3rd, in which i saw with my own eyes people and voting accounts encouraging using VPN, which isn’t allowed… And yet this is never spoken about? It’s just frustrating because I see constantly how army and our big voting accounts encourages people to vote fairly. Award shows where it’s not even fan voted and based on statistics and bts still win, fandoms still claim we mass voted like how 😂

"What do you mean you don't have to?!" Poor Erin. Not even 5 minutes in, and JD being like: "YOU have to." 😂 I've never watched this, so I assume this is the comedy before the storm 😂I'm relatively new to Kpop, so I didn't know that they went through SO much! I knew about their debut story, but apart from that, I knew very little :/ I hate fandom wars. Like JD, I think said: all these different fandoms making drama, when the bands and groups themselves are friends/have good relationships with one another, it's so unnecessary. And then death threats..no. There's never an excuse for that. Intrigued for part 2!

hi just wanted to let you know the shirt was a gift to Jimin. around the time he got. we as fans could give gifts to bts. so every birthday we used to send money, gifts, and charity donations to them. (this is a normal thing done in kpop) the boys would get like rooms full of gifts. The boys would then wear and use our gifts too. I used to watch all the videos and pictures fan groups would post of the gifts the boys would receive. bighit has since stopped that we can no longer give gifts to the boys. when the t-shirt incident happened it was really scary foreign news media outside of Korea were on the attack. and a lot of Japanese conservatives flooded bts timeline. Army was scared and worried for the boys. I thought at one-point bts would be severely affected by this. I can see why wearing the shirt was bad but i don't think there was an ill will behind it. i do miss the gift giving time of army life. the boys really would use our gifts and it was cool to know they used something we gave them

Also, just to be clear...the history between Japan and S. Korea dates back much further than just the war (although what happened during the war was awful enough). Japan occupied Korea from 1910 to 1945, and the history of that is painful (10 years of harsh military rule, a period of *some* relaxation but occupation nonetheless, and then back to very harsh rule from 1937-45 (during the war) that included enslaving tens of thousands of Korean women and sending them to the front to be "comfort women") - so the t-shirt was celebrating the liberation of Korea from Japan after that long period of occupation. I'm not justifying the t-shirt's depiction of the bomb as a part of a celebration of liberation, but the outrage in media, etc. was apparently completely one-sided with little to no recognition of that very important history from the Korean perspective. The white paper attempted to provide that important historical context. You can still find the white paper - I think I found it by searching Twitter. (I also read that the t-shirt was worn by Jimin well before the outrage - like years? - so they went back and dug it back out.)

@@OT7_DopeOldARMY thank you lisa for your comment. i remember waking up panicked every day when that t-shirt incident happened. it was really bad how much hate the boys got. the tweets the news attacking them in print, in video. I just remember army working hard for days to inform and explain and support the boys. we did the best we could until bighit could send their representatives to meet with japan members. Army really are bts shield. These compliations video are good to inform newer army that wasn't present during these hard times. i have been army for 7 years now and the first few years being in the fandom i and other army had to fight so hard against all the attacks and struggles bts had i am happy that these days there are less hardships army and bts experience

The worst part of the hamburger incident for me is he was still a teenager then & the 2 that were so rude to him were grown men. Pathetic really. It makes me sad to see him trying to fight back tears (they didn’t show they clip) & just knowing he was already probably nervous just going on that show alone. But when I see that clip of Jungkook hugging that guy I think you know what good for him. Jungkook has a huge beautiful heart. He is so genuine & pure hearted, never shies away from showing his sincere emotions. I’m happy for him that situations like the hamburger incident & other hardships haven’t changed who is. They haven’t changed his beautiful heart & that says a whole lot more about him than it ever will about grown men who choose to bully a teenager.

The lengths that the tops of the kpop industry and their supporting fandoms went to in order to halt BTS's progress is absolutely shameful. They saw the potential within BTS, their perseverance, savvy decision making, and pure drive to succeed. They were just kids with a dream to perform, and they wanted to crush them. Even through everything they've endured they remain humble, grateful, amazing human beings. It makes their successes that much sweeter. They're beholden to no one within the media or kpop industry. They made it to where they are by trusting in each other, their management and label, and ARMYs. Just love them! 💜

More info about Kookie and that show. Only two of them behaved shitty towards the food and they were the elders so no one was going to stand up to them really. A few of the others were quietly saying the food looked good why are you saying this but no real push back. So at one point of the show you had to decide by online voting which team got the royal treatment and which got treated like "bums". Well the audience and ARMY saw that shit and voted for Kookie to win. Baby boy is so sweet he was making small motions to the camera trying to tell ARMY not to vote for him because he was STILL trying to be gracious over the whole thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy made an apology to JK and the guys before they went on the show because he appeared on Suga's drinking show as well. Big Hit is petty, snub them once and they won't come back to your show/award, so I'm pretty sure something was definitely said before BTS went on that show. Plus the real MC of the show Jae Suk they love. They've been on his show Running Man lots of times. The issue about Japan and Korea. Japan ruled over Korea for hundreds of yrs. Unfortunately the only way Korea got free from Japan's colonial rule was because the US bombed Japan. Also to be very clear, KOREANS ALSO DIED IN THE BOMB ATTACKS. Japan forced Koreans to work in factories etc in Japan so many Koreans were taken from their homes and families so they were there in Hiroshima and Nagaski too. The two reasons BTS was involved in this was because A. Japan was mad over the court ruling and B. BTS was big so they were a perfect target because Idols have worn that shirt ON JAPANESE TV before this court ruling. Now as Westerners we can hem and haw about whether the bomb should be on the t-shirt but for Koreans, that bomb is the only thing that lead to their freedom from colonialism. Historians have written documents about if Japan hadn't been DESTROYED and not simply DEFEATED in WW2, Korea would never have gotten freedom. So a Korean making that shirt and Koreans wearing it is valid expression of what happened and lead to their independence and it's not up to us to agree or disagree with the shirt's existence. Not being harsh toward you ladies, it's something that as an ARMY at the time it happened from a Western nation I had to sit and consider. I can't tell people how to celebrate or villainize their history. I'm glad you all were recognizing that at the end of the video.

@@marinal. unfortunately nowadays there is so much misinformation it is difficult for newer armies to determine what is true and what has been embellished or fabricated. XCeleste is an amazing source for accurate information as she has extensive knowledge of basically anything/everything BTS and Army related and when she doesn’t know, or isn’t sure, she will say so. It honestly used to be so much easier to search a BTS topic and weed out the truth from the BS. I think it is because they genuinely are the “International Pop-K Sensation Sunshine Rainbow Traditional Transfer USB Hub Shrimp BTS” and now everybody is jumping on the bandwagon in some way whether it’s positive or negative yeah?

Hi Ebony, Appriciate your comment but I just want to offer a correction on your comment regarding 'Janpan ruling over Korea for hundred years'. They never ruled Korea for hundred years. It's true that Japan has been attacking/pirating Korea for hundred years. (If you are interested, please refer to Korean movie called 'Myeong nyang 명량해전/ Hansan 한산' for one of the most famous battle between Korea & Japan in1597. It's a great movie about a general Lee Sun-sin이순신 who fought Janpanese army). But only time they succeded was when they had money from Westerner (Amerian and European) in end of 19th centry. With that newly aquired money and ambition, they believed they could and decided to take over the world. Naturally Korea was a very important bridge to the mainland & China geographically. So they slowly took over Korea as Korean Empire was weak and was not prepared for westerner's greed. Please be corrected, The only period Korea was under Japaniese occupation was 36years until 1945. And during that time Korean has been fighting nonstop for independence under the occupation for all those years. (If you are K-Drama fan, 'Mr Sunshine 미스터 션샤인' would be great to see a grimes of that time, even though it only shows the beginning of the tragic period. You will see in that drama that there was Korean resistance called 'Rightous army 의병' trying to fight the Japanese at that time.) And they were building an resistance army/camp in Manchuria where espcaped resistance established Korean Provisional Government there to fight Janpan (Another good movie is called 'Assassination 암살' & 'The Battle: Roar to Victory 봉오동 전투' for that period). There was a full attack plan set in place (it took them decades to plan and set in motion because of lacking funds and menpower also becuase Japanese's hunting them down deligently.) But unfortunately(?) for Korea, American bombing happened first. It's unfortunate for Korea because it caused strategic hand over process from Japan to America/Chian/Russia which caused another tragedy, Korea to be devided in two North & South.... The timing of bombing was so unfavourable for Korean in someway as Korea lost a chance to acquire our independence by ourself and saldly so many Korean (who were taken to Japan for forced labour: another movie reference 'The Battleship Island 군함도') was killed in that bombing also as you pointed out... Thanks again for providing extra info & your comment!

The sad part is that just as late as November 2023, Jungkook’s solo fans trended BTS DISBAND on Twitter, and now have submitted a petition to the government that Jungkook and Jimin have engaged in illegal explicit activities and should be investigated ahead of their military service simply because they filmed a vlog in Japan which is yet to release (requires fact-checking). The government has received the petition is carefully reviewing it; this can have a serious impact on them. Recently, a stalker almost entered Tae’s place, another member was a target of D-threats and Joon has been bombarded with hate tweets on his looks and what not. Nothing much has changed; I just hope the boys never come across those things.

i understand your want to say "all the groups are friends" but theres a lot of documented times where bts members said they have no friends and are being looked down on by other idols so you cant say all these groups are friends cause you truly do not know. theres a huge difference between like the 97 liners for example they hangout outside work environments often vs bts with other idol groups who you only see them interacting at award shows/music shows or work related environments. that doesnt mean friendship thats them being polite as its part of their culture to do so like bowing saying hello etc you can say jungkook is friends with the 97 liners cause theyve went places where they didnt have to be nice to each other they went out of their own will to hangout. but you cant just say oh these idols had a interaction so theyre friends thats the same logic people use to say a male and female idol are dating just from those small award show interactions which is delusional. please dont push this kumbaya narrative because that removes the pain some idols feel from being bullied by other idols it removes the responsibility. you can be a multi stan and wish for your favorite groups to be friends but dont make up a friendship unless they specifically say outside of a work environment that theyre friends. react to bts we on lyrics and jhope hangsang lyrics use channel af taehyung for the correct translation. jhope discusses it in both songs.

You are reading a lot into one comment about idols being friends. The fact is, idols can't be open about their friendships (especially with the opposite sex) because of backlash, caused by fandom wars. This was perfectly demonstrated this week when Taehyung followed T.O.P on Instagram. No, not all idols will be friends, but I'm sure there are many friendships we aren't shown. It's their private life after all.
