Idk whenever I see Hobi stress about things I think of that time he was like “I wonder if fans will come to the concert, it’s a Monday” or when he thought no one would watch him perform at Lollapalooza. He’s SO hardworking, dedicated, passionate and serious about his craft, because he doesn’t expect everyone and their momma to be at his feet. He is humble and that pushes him to keep going. Just hope he’s less hard on himself after his military service and doesn’t stress himself out too much. Man’s a king and he doesn’t even realize it. 👏🏽💜

The reason there were so many camera's was because Hobi was also filming his documentary at the same time (its on Disney+). The party doesn't looked packed but it was, so many people/artists attended, it's probably because they want to show it on the documentary instead of showing it on here so thats why they only focus on the members on this video. Hobi even said he reached out to everyone himself. He worked so hard trying to get everything perfect as it was his first listening party he had and was hands on in getting everything sorted from what food the guests would like to what drinks.

It was a packed event but they were only showing the boys. Only Jhope did a listening party. This is another proof how BTS members support and love each other. Hope you get to listen to Jhope's songs too. His Hopeworld mixtape and JITB album portrayed such different styles and vibe that you get to really appreciate how versatile Jhope as an artist. The Lollapalooza performance is a very good start to check out his music because you get to hear songs from both mixtape and album. Equal sign is 💜💜💜 more people should hear this song of Hobi

8:03 No, that's not Steve Aoki 😂 That's Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae, they're respected prominent rappers in South Korea. They're also married to each other. Both of them are in a hip-hop trio called MFBTY. Namjoon featured in one of MFBTY's tracks along with a few other rappers back in 2015, the song's called BuckuBucku. Namjoon also featured in Tiger JK's song called "Timeless" in 2018, where Namjoon shouted out Tiger JK's past songs and how they inspired him. Tiger JK mentioned in an interview how grateful he was for Namjoon's verse, as he gave free reign on the theme 'Timeless',,and it was 2018, and BTS were sketching their name in the west/globally at the time, so Tiger JK thought namjoon would rap about that, hence he was touched by Namjoon's tribute to his past songs.

So many Korean celebrities came to the listening party, the party became a hot topic as there were lots of videos of the night's guests. I'm very proud of Jhope , the songs, the concept of the performance, everything about JITB is a masterpiece. you should watch Jhope's performance at lollapalooza, he was born to be a performer.

There were actually TONS of celebrities there, it was so fun being on twitter at the time because everyone was posting and talking about the party at the hybe building and we didn't really know what was going on at first. They don't usually do this so they were super nervous. in bts eps/bmbs they don't usually show people who aren't bts, they will even blur people out because they are very conscious of privacy so i think that is why it looks like it is just the tannies here, but really a lot of professional dancers, producers, actors, and other singers were there.

For some context, BTS usually doesn't get to interact extensively with the industry. Although am sure they have had some meetups behind cameras, they themselves have acknowledged how they don't have way too many celeb friends. It's because bts had to do all things alternatively to make there way up as indie artists. That's why you see the nervousness. But it's also cute and ironic since they are THE BIGGEST CELEB in that room particularly considering how a vast majority of those who were invited aren't what one would consider the 'faces of kpop'. By that I mean, most of the most prominent kpop groups and soloists beside bts. This is because the Korean Music industry is lot beyond kpop. And don't get me wrong when I say biggest celeb. These artists may not be the most popular or the face but they have a pretty solid niche of fans and are extremely artistically inclined folks. Also goes to show that no matter how much bts gets into the mainstream space their ways in music is far different from glitz and glam of kpop and is a lot more rooted in musicality and the way that navigates in the industry! Ps. That room was absolutely packed. The thing is bts official content is very careful with who they show. Though the members social media openly posted pictures with the celebs and so did the media folks that were invited.

In the Bangtan Bomb they didn't show the guests of the listen party because it's a BTS episode and also they wanted to keep the suspense because of the Jhope documentary where they showed a little more footage of the party.

Why am I crying watxhing this again 😭 I really miss BTS 😭💜 Watching them at the listening party theyre so cute. Despite being the BIGGEST group in the world, theyre still shy even around others. They even said "How do u greet celebrities?" When they themselves are the celebs of celebrities 😂 i think that shows how humble they are and how theyre never entitled and when they walk into a room they never assume theyre the biggest people there. I think thats very rare and why BTS is BTS. Theyre always so kind and sweet, even to staff. In the JITB documentary they showed more clips from the listening party and u'll see Hobi thanking all staff, even went all the way to the back to thank the staff that was serving food. 💜

For a moment I thought they would listen to the entire JITB album in full 😅 But it's the big party that Hobi threw in the Hybe building, I remember how we collapsed with the leaked photos at the time. Seriously cousins I wish the album reviews would come back 😞 to listen to JITB I really enjoy when you listen to songs by the members both in group and alone. This would include the first albums-mixtapes of Agust D, Rm and J Hope and all the most recent works in alone of these last two years I swear you will find beautiful songs, more references and contexts that even some armys do not know. I am looking forward to your journey with Hobi's solo discography his first mistape album "Hope World” and The recent one "Jack In The Box”, I want you to enjoy those contrasting colors, versatility, proposals and creativity that Hobi implements in his music, I literally created a whole world with those two albums and all this extended party without so many cuts you will see it in the documentary J Hope In The Box on Disney+ there you will see all the detailed work behind the scenes that Hobi did for his debut album

Jhope's aura is so captivating. Everyone coming out to support him was so well deserved he is a beautiful artist. The fact he had his members right by his side was so wholesome and precious as always.

Introvert Seokjin was so relatable in that listening party😭😭 Literally the only non-oficial video/photo that he saw of Jin in the party was in someone's IG story, it was him arriving with a drink in his hand and with a 👁👄👁 face haha. It was so funny because some armys were posting on twitter things like "omg Seokjin just arrived and he has a drink on his hand oh things are going to get lit tonight" and then I remember that day Jin went to Weverse and talked with armys and he said that he was just reading webtoons in a corner and then later we found out he went home earlier lmao 😭 It's so cute to see some of the members shy at the beginning and also sticked with each other a lot of of the time especially Jungkook with the other members lol I would say that Namjoon and Jimin were definitely the most extrovert there, we saw them talking and took pics with a lot of people (and Hobi of course because he was trying to talk with every guest, making sure everyone was having fun and stuff) and Taehyung was just there living his best life while dancing a lot too haha

There were Korean independent artists and underground dancers there!!! It was probably the coolest crowd and group of creatives that's ever gathered in Korea. If you're invited by hobi, you will be a genuine and cool person.

Yoongi, Jimin, jin, and jungkook are introverts more than the word introvert. Someone who doesn't know them, seeing their crazy sides and these shy sides, would think they have multiple personality disorders.

Listening parties are a very western thing and this was very unusual within Korea. The celebrities invited weren't other kpop idols but were from the Korean Hip-Hop, Indie and Dance scene. It showed how respected he is in the industry with Korean with how many people turned up. He had some amazing dancers including voguers at the party which was who JK was watching intently.

That's at the top floor of HYBE. K-ARMYs (Korean ARMYs) actually shared a video of the top floor lit with party lights when they were passing by the HYBE bldg. 😄 the guys looked like they had fun with all the instagram stories and photos. Very happy for j-hope to have this 💜 And sorry, that's not Steve Aoki 😅that's Tiger JK, a Korean-American rapper and producer. One of BTS' friends. yeah Bangtan Bombs usually focus more on BTS, avoid capturing other celebs/idols and blur faces that were caught in the video due to privacy. And I think if they want their faces to be seen, they're gonna have to let them sign a waiver/form to give them permission to show their faces. (That's how we do it here, idk in South Korea hehe)

Bangtan bomb only records the bts members and does not record other people. But the listening party, which was held at the top floor of hybe, was super packed with celebrities. Every single minute a new video/photo was popping out on army twitter tl lmao. Also, each member had their own preferred way of promoting their album. Only hobi out of the bts members, did this listening party on this scale for his promotions. Each of them pronoted their solo albums very uniquely. Their personalities are super versatile.

The Hybe building in Seoul is massive and tall!! This is the top floor of the Hybe building, with ceiling to floor windows, where you can see out and see the city. (And where they hold their official events.) People on the street could see the flashing lights on the top floor of the Hybe building during Hobi's Listening Party, and they recorded what they saw but didn't know what the event was until it was publicized at a later date.

This was held on the hybe building top floor meeting room. Most of the guests for this event were jhopes old dancer acquaintances, hiphop dancers and also hiphop and indie musicians. The man with the long hair is Tiger jk, a rapper and friend of RM, they have collabed before and they also hand out with suga and jhope.

the night when these party pics hit the armytwt tl was crazy. it was on the 19th floor of hybe and we were trying to get glimpse of whats going on from the insta posts of those who attended. but twitter was down that day and we had to convert videos into gifs to share.

j-hope invited a lot of dancers and hip hop artists but in content like this for the Bangtan channel, they try to just focus on BTS. In j-hope's documentary "j-hope in the Box," they show a lot more of the attendees. Twitter was so much fun that night because so man Korean artists were sharing pictures and videos from the listening party and we were finding out the guest list and the event from that. Hobi really values feedback and takes it seriously and he also believes in building a strong, self-supporting foundation so he used this party to introduce himself as an artist to other artists that he respects, building connections and showing them what he's adding to the industry as a soloist. We were all really proud of him for doing this because it's something BTS has never done before.

The party was held at HYBE (bts’ label) building. A LOTT of celebs were there, but they didn’t film them because it’s a privacy and copyright thing. Those who were present there themselves uploaded lots of pictures and videos, that’s how we came to know about the party. AND the man with the long hair you mistook for Steve Aoki is actually Tiger JK, he is a very respected rapper and producer and one of RM’s god fathers in the industry, the lady beside him is his wife Yoon-Mirae, also a very respected rapper singer. They have collaborated with RM in the song BuckuBucku in 2015.

Each member chose their promotions. Hobi did this listening party, which absolutely fit him and his album. They all made choices that fit them and their albums. It's been interesting to see what audience they're each trying to reach and how they promote towards that audience.

Twitter was on fire that day, we got clips or pictures of that party now and then and were so excited to see who else were there.

It was beyond fun watching all the biggest celebrities in Korea post their pictures from the party. It was almost as good as being there.

Everyone and their mothers were at the listening party lol like army twitter was having a ball when the jack in the box listening party was happening in real time, it was Instagram story/post after Instagram story it was so fun😭😭 and we werent even there so u could imagine how fun it would be if u were rly there

Notice how anytime you don’t see a member it’s because they’re mingling, whenever you see Jin he’s on his own, Jungkook is in nearly every shot cause he stayed with the members, it shows how introverted they are or at least how they’re only truly comfortable with the other members and it’s so endearing and sweet! But then I also love the fact that Tae, Jimin and namjoon were mingling and having fun and seeing that outside of this bangtan bomb with all the photos we got that other celebs were hanging out with them and it looked so fun! J hope killed it and thought of everything for his guests to make sure it all went perfect, i loved getting all the content on Twitter when this was going on!

That listening party is jam packed with idols and artists from different agencies. Hobi personally invited them. I witnessed that when that was happening live and I can still remember that chaos on my timeline everytime an artist who's present at the party updates in their socials. And yes, Bangtan Bmbs focuses only on BTS, that's why the other artists are not included on the video. But, you can still see videos and photos of them interacting, dancing and singing together if you searched it up. That's one of the most memorable thing for ARMYS, seeing them just having fun with other people (because it rarely happens coz they are usually from different agencies) Thanks to Hobi 😊💜 The venue is not really rented, it's the top floor of Hybe, their building company. That's where they usually held events. You can see a more clear sight in their Busan Expo event. They used the same place.

jitb listening party was insane! the amount of artists/celebs/etc and interactions was probably one of the most we've really ever seen happen all in one night, it felt kinda surreal, but also so cool they were there to support hobi's album release! not sure if this will ever get on the list or polls (since they're also longer videos), but it'd be so cool if y'all see hobi's episode on iu's palette (& all the other members' eps as well)

I highly recommend watching Boracity Magazines video about BTS chapter 2 solo activities- she explains JHOPEs Jack In the Box promotion strategy including this listening party - everything he did was very purposeful and deliberate. Same for the other members. They held this party in the penthouse of The HYBE building - the skyscraper BTS built w their blood sweat and tears 💜

There are a lot of Instagram stories of celebs from that day if you are curious, only Hobi did an official listening party also it took place on the highest floor of Hybe building, and the guy with RM wasn't Steve Aoki but Tiger JK (and his wife, she's a musician too) Korean rapper (rm has some projects with him) and tho it doesn't look like that on video there was quite a number of guests

lol that wasn't Steve Aoki, that was Tiger JK. One of the OG's in the Korean Hip-Hop scene, debuted back in 1995 and considered a role model to pretty much every younger korean rapper. He also helped make hip hop more mainstream in South Korea and boosted it's popularity immensely. The woman next to him was his wife Yoon Mirae, also one of the OG's in the korean hiphop scene.
