The people that have an issue with an artist being compared with MJ especially when the influence is OBVIOUS and intentional need to shut up. Saying that is disingenuous, if someone is paying homage or even mimicking iconic moves from a world renowned legend then it will be noted. I’m one of those people who hate when reactors act like it’s their job to compare anyone of these guys to other artist, however, it cannot be denied that there is strong MJ influence, from the moves, the sound of his voice, even the jacket and the hand movements. When I saw this last evening the first thing that fell off my lips was OMG, Michael. I consider it in this case a compliment. Great job. Nice job guys. Yes! That's why I left the comment I did on your Thriller video. It's not that he's trying to BE Michael Jackson, or that anyone should think that, it's that he has the same kind of talent, charisma, and performance level as MJ. He has the potential to be a pop star on that same level. And I think he will. This is, without a doubt, my favorite song on the album. The things he does with his voice alone, but when you add in that choreo! I cannot WAIT for a performance video. Music is art and its progressive. As a facet of the arts, it comes from getting inspiration from your music influences and experiences, it's also an expression and reflection of oneself. I will not say that they are copying MJ, it's simply the wrong term, but you can see and feel the impact and influence of MJ to JKs dance styles and vocal techniques yet not losing and still showing his own unique character, skills and charms. As a performer myself, MJ and all the other famous artists had a great impact and inspires me till now on how I perform. Also, keep in mind all the dancers are some of the best professional dancers and choreographers in the world, and if you ask them who their best influence in their craft is most of them will say it's MJ. I particularly love the transition from the tunnel to the stage when he is in the suit. So epic and dramatic. I was brought right back to the eighties!

I totally agree with you JMac that JK has reached that level of perfectionism of MJ's in terms of performance level, pitch perfect tone, falsetto & the dancing. It is indeed IMO the greatest compliment that an artist can receive. Taj Jackson, MJ's nephew, has already seen that early on when BTS did Dynamite where he commented his appreciation to BTS for giving homage to his uncle. But I find JK's moves more intense than MJ's bec I grew up listening and dancing to MJ's songs in discos and seeing this song and MV reminded me of those days 😁💜

There is nothing wrong to compare JK to MJ, especially when it's clear homage in the moves and when added to music style it becomes more apparent. But JK has unique vocal peculiarities and it's clear that MJ is inspiration and not a copy. And i dare say JK is only performer in all mis bis that can do the proper homage to MJ not making it parody and making it unique and iconic in its own way. His album Golden to me is like an amasing study of male pop through the years and it's a part of JK playing with styles, exploring and growing and he owns each of those styles
