Jungkook slayed. He is a vocal genius. He has broken records and made history in a short period of time. His album Golden is the most awaited album and he did not disappoint. He gained so many major awards in just a few months. His Golden album alreafy came out and it's all in English. His voice is not limited in one genre. Such a versatile global pop star is Jungkook! No one comes close to what he has achieved in just a short period of time

This is his debut album, guys, and already breaking so many records. Seven, 3D and this one, Standing Next To You are the 3 singles released from this first album of his, Golden. Out of everyone, I would say JK's solo was the most awaited because people really want to know what he would be bringing with his versatility and beautiful vocals. And JK hasn't disappoint, he's doing hit after hit!

The director of the video, Tanu Muino, said she was paying homage to Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet. The limos, wings, coloring, and circular sunset feel, including the shape of the stage are from the movie. This song and mv are brilliant. He is so good. Loved your reactions. 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻

Ppl need to learn jungkook doesn’t have one sound or style he sticks too… he can sing and dance to anything… even on his album ppl think there’s vocal effects but he pulls it out live no problem … he wanted to use his voice in different ways and his range is insane… and ppl generally expect vocalists to have one main style or sound… and a lot of them do… but jungkooks got a perfect pop/r and b vocal tone naturally… but he’s a vocal chameleon… it’s what sets him apart from others his versatility, his control live especially… he’s got perfect pitch and can mimic anybody’s voice or singing or even sounds that he hears…. He’s one of a kind…. And the one thing that you can predict about jungkook is that he’s unpredictable… pretty sure for every single one of his singles off his debut album everyone said “I didn’t expect him to do a song like this” and then love each one lol that tells me that they don’t know jungkook and what he’s capable of… and that being diverse is his sound… he never just sounds one way… and half the time ppl react and are complimenting some high notes saying Jin or jimin… it’s actually jungkook… or complimenting taes low notes but it’s actually jungkook …. It happens ALL THE TIME….. so never underestimate jungkook… or think you know all of what he’s capable of…. If you’ve heard him in all BTS music…. You e heard about 70% of what he can do…. He’s not the main vocalist and known for having superhuman live vocals for nothing

71 year old Army here. None of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. This one, however, is an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. There is a The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. His self professed dream of being a giant pop star is clearly beginning in a big way! BTW, there are now 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version and the KILLER live performance in Times Square, NYC. No Kpop here! You are spot on about "Romeo and Juliet". Baz Lurman, was the director of the 1995 movie "Romeo and Juliet" and he posted the similar shots between this MV and the movie. The MV director also stated this MV was inspired by the movie. The gold backgrounds relate to JK's new solo album "Golden". Thank you for your reaction! 💜

The limousines signified their class difference. He’s a driver, she’s the rich woman who employs him. This is why their relationship is “forbidden” and why he’s testifying that they will survive. Also, one of the producers said that the concept of this MV is that it takes place in a world where love does not exist, yet JK feels something strange (love) when he sees this woman, thus his passion. Sooooo romantic. It was also inspired by Romeo and Juliet…can’t get better than that! My favorite JK song. He has transformed into a very sexy and sensual MAN. JK has grown up! This was epic on all fronts!

I loved your reaction 💜 But I just wanted to comment on something , when you said you didnt expect this from JK , well he always said he wanted to try all genre and kind of music , plus he has a very versatile voice , he could sing anything . Even if his recent releases have all been pop , he could suddenly drop a rap song and honestly it wouldnt shock us Army ! He loves trying new music ! Always expect the unexpected with JK 😂 If you listen to his recent album its 90% pop but all the songs are really different and have their own vibe. It's a very well balanced album. You have a song for every kind of mood .

I agree with your sentiments... They have just been focusing on rapline that's why they didn't recognize Jungkook. Jungkook's album has been the most awaited ever since so this chapter 2 solo era is definitely one for the books. Everyone could now witness his greatness and the amazing vocals he puts in every BTS track. Because his vocals are really diverse no wonder he was specifically chosen to do the World Cup song. He was the first one that started Chapter 2 with his collab with Charlie Puth which was very successful. He is the biggest star right now which he truly deserves. He is definitely a vocal genius and I'm so happy that everyone gets to witness his greatness. Jungkook you are truly a global superstar!

Standing Next To You is the main track in the album. According to JK, he recorded the song after Seven and 3D later. Probably, Standing... was supposed to be his second single. At first he was hesitant to release an album, but Scooter Braun, CEO-Hybe America insisted to do so and formed the album. So JK, decided to make Standing...the main track, and 3D as his second single. Correct me if I'm wrong Army

Mj homage with jungkooks flair and modern vibe to it . The mv is based on Romeo and Juliet… the fight scene is from the movie and the stage was set up identically , the angel wings were work by Juliet in the movie, the big jk with the heart w wings and dagger through it…. The music is incredible and really enables jungkook to show everything he can do… it’s 100 times better live.

Yes! Romeo and Juliet is what the song writer was inspired by! Also, this was a homage MJ! All the BTS guys love MJ, and is very influenced by him. I would even go as far to say, KPOP in general influenced by MJ! I am 62 I never had a favorite artist/group. I loved MJ though! BTS as a group or individual are my favorite! Never liked rap....love BTS rap.

Hi! Out of the solo work, the boys have put out, JK's is the one that's not really my usual taste, but as always he makes it work. Also, I highly recommend live performances as they have the extra magic that happens when you give JK a mike:)

You did shut up and play the song eventually, and you appeared to be in shock the whole way through. I think the limos and drivers were just props. And the girl did arrive in a limo. But I just love the song. Don't you both just love it ? Watching this in december JK will be joining the army to start his military service in a few days. RM, V and Jimin are heading off too. I love all of the solo stuff the guys have been doing in advance of military service (V, Jimin, RM, and JK are going in next), but in all of their interviews, they make a point of mentioning how much they miss the group and are excited for 2025 when they reunite. So are we! It will be a whole new synergy!

I wouldn't carry over your impression of how BTS and members write their lyrics over to their English songs. JK for one picked most of the songs for his album based on what he liked the sound of, he probably had the least creative input to them because he just loves pop music, and doesn't mind being mainstream. It shows though how the bias in the Western music industry has clamped down on Korean acts because these songs were all in English and extremely mainstream yet they got put in the "kpop" category for awards and basically got snubbed from radio etc.

This of course was an intentional homage to Michael Jackson and you were one of the few that picked up on the Romeo and Juliet theme which the director has actually said was also intentional. Actually his album Golden dropped on the same day this video dropped

sitting here watching your video it is 7:23 AM on November Friday November 24 the day after Thanksgiving. on your video it says you released it 21 minutes ago. This song is the title track of his album which is titled golden. The album and the song were both released on November 3rd, 2023. Three or four days ago big hit music HYBE labels HYBE corporation announced that in about 3 weeks RM Bing German and Jungkook will all be enlisting in the Korean military. His album and this song and video were just released three days ago you would be in New York City and other towns in the United States making television appearances and performing this song and other songs off the album live like about two or three days after the song was released and the album performed live on today's show in the United States. About a week after the release of this video he did a surprise live performance and Times Square New York City. At the present time in the last couple of days interesting that it was just before Thanksgiving, but Jimin and Jungkook flew to Japan to film Part 3 segment of the documentary they are filming before going into the military.

I think the Limo drivers were filmed backwards . And never knew there was an official write up place. Here I was watching the vids on how they were made. MAYBE watch his Audacy performance ...........It is so cool and a bar scene. Again always better live and he cast a spell over Time Square with only a few hours notice and army showed up in masses. It is a Bangtantv live first and the stage belongs to TSX . ( Only used one other time by Post Malone. )

The album starts from the beginning of a relationship to the ending. Most of BTS albums are designed to listen from 1st to the last. They like to encompass all the emotions. Remember they converted from Confucianism to Christianity. While 80% of Koreans are Christian (stats 2019) They are hardwired to honor the whole spirit. Something most people do not understand and think they are a typical shallow K-pop group (that a corporation tells them to sing and dance to)
