Beyond Proud of BTS. Wow they performed PTD at the UN. What a moment. First, BTS leader RM spoke at the UN in 2018 and now 2021 All BTS spoke in the UN. We are listening. We are the future. Continue to do you and spread Love and Positivity to the World. "Welcome generation instead of lost generation". 💜

BTS spoke from their perspective on the impact of Covid19 and shared messages of hope for the future. BTS represent all of us. Really nice and refreshing to see BTS actually performed at the United Nations in New York city on a Sunny day. Beautiful scenery! It's meant to be! 💜🌞

The fact that they traveled 16 hours across the ocean to put on an spectacular uplifting performance 👏 🙌 ✨ 😍 ❤ If I have to travel that long, I would need to rest for at least 2 days due to time change...just Amazing!!!!

50 here, and same. I wish we'd had role models like this when we were the 'youth'- but then again, it's never too late to look up to a great example, is it? They give me the feeling that there's plenty of room in the Welcome Generation for us Gen-Xers. :)

Yes I'm married with a grown up Daughter but it doesn't mean I can't still be a fan girl. Younger armies keep me young when I watch their reactions to BTS. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 and 1 for armies 💜

Fun fact: The 7 nickel plated doors BTS came out of the UN were donated by the Canadian Government; on the exterior of each one of them are four panels symbolizing peace, justice, truth and fraternity! It was serendipity that the 7 members of BTS came out of those 7 doors! :)

Amazing, amazing!! On top of that, Permission to Dance was featured as a group dance on a very popular show in the UK, Dancing with the Stars and tonight, channel 4 news showed BTS singing that song at the UN. Its not that usual here in England to see them in this light so very, very proud!!

In the original MV…..he was the only one as well to dance with people. He is so outgoing and it shows. He also did so well in his presentation. Love watching him.

I believe the black bars were there because the video was technically recorded to be shown on the specific screens in the building (the 2 large monitors behind the boys during the speech).

Everything about today was perfect and just what the world needed. Millions have now watched the UN SDG messages because of BTS, and their speeches touched me deeply. Remember when some people werent that into this song initially and it’s just perfect. There is a great shot of the UN sign language interpreter smiling when they get to the sign language part of the song. Blew away all my expectations, which were honestly high.

I keep thinking how Permission to Dance was a gift for ARMY for the eighth anniversary. If anyone had said, back in June, 'Oh, they'll perform this live at- IN- the U.N. building in September!', we would've been like, ".....C'mon now." And yet it's so PERFECT! :flings hands: I don't know how they do it- straight from their hearts to ours, and reaching out to gather in more all the time.

In an interview after their speech, it was mentioned that they started filming (getting set up & practicing) about 1am. They finished fairly early in the morning, maybe 6-8am based on the shadows.

Hi I am back. Good reaction, ty. I live an hr away from NYC. I am so proud of them. They killed it. This was recorded before they did their speech. They did so well. That dance crew is dang lucky to work with them. Everyone kept things hush hush. It was the best surprise to see that. I was grinning ear to ear! hugs. -NY USA Army💜

One thing someone might want to look into and I think Army should note if true, is I think this is the most viewed video on the UN KZfaq feed, it’s already over 6.7M and seems to surpass the other vids if I sort by most popular, making it more viewed in a few hours than Emma Watson, Leo DiCaprio, Malala speeches/videos on that challenge. This is t a flex it’s about using their star power to bring such large attention to such an important topic and bring in Army to the SDG discussion. I wonder if we can get a guess across all platforms how many viewed the even across the various platforms KZfaq, Twitter, Facebook, and everyone else streaming it. Again this isnt about streaming or hits it’s about spreading the message and bringing a new audience to the table and to take action and feel empowered.

They lead meaningful lives and want to share it with the world, in the most humble of ways. They are just themselves; great human beings....all of them. We could not ask for better representation! nahh man I'm really sick of yall spreading this over exaggerated that "bts went from recording in garage to....." like do yall evn realise misinfo u are spreading esp to baby armys?? firstly, it was just for 1 time when they had gone to shoot AHL in LA so OBV they didnt have a studio there but you make it sound as if they didnt even have a studio in the early years of their career and do you even know how this narrative sounds when yall say that, it sounds as if bts are poor soul, victims, makes anyone look towards them with sympathy instead of seeing the strong souls they are who have been thru so much!!! Actually there have been 6 plus BTS that have performed at the UNGA. Yes there was Beyoncé and Shakira, but there was an Indian, Brazilian and I think a Pakistani also.

I was so excited about seeing the video of their performance....in and around the UN. I'm not sure if they are the first artists to be allowed to performance in the UN, but........damm! Our boys got to sing on THE best stage in the world.

Everyone know this. BTS did set a record. They were the first to film a complete MV inside the Assembly Hall, in the UN halls, and on the outside UN grounds with back-up dancers. No one or group has ever done that!!! So let's not minimize this first. The production was flawless! And realize this difficulty...they performed being fully jet lagged. If you have never experienced jet lag...it's like you can't feel that your body is real. Your brain is asleep while your body is awake. You don't feel whole. And they danced without a proper feel of balance. You kind of feel numb!!! Well done BTS and BTS production team!!!

There really are seven doors on the north side of the United Nation's General Assembly Building. These nickel-bronze doors were a gift from the nation of Canada and each one has bas-reliefs symbolizing peace, justice, truth and fraternity. (From twitter ryuminating) ISN'T THIS CALLED DESTINY?

From the day PTD was released, I said, its much more than a positive catchy song with cute and easy dance moves. PTD is a Movement y'all. Its crazy to think that with all of their mind blowing amazing performances and extraness we have come to expect, this stripped down video would not be that impressive but oh No No. I have to say, this is the simplest, most powerful, and epic performance they will have (at least for a very very long time). Thanks for mentioning Beyonce and Shakira performed there in the past because I thought BTS was the only ones. They are however, the only ones to have the power to shut down the whole building to make a music video. This isn't even a Cypher but might as well be one because subliminally and literally they have almost as much power as Pres. Moon. This video is a big middle finger to all the haters from day 1 until now. Think about it, they were considered losers when they started out.Now they are World Leaders. There's your next title......from Losers to (World) Leaders. Their next Cypher should be called Look at us now or Sucka's (calling the haters that or whatever the Korean word for that is).I can't express how proud of them I am and proud to be Army. Life changing for sure. I can't wait for the next podcast when you 2 talk about this trip. Btw- my new saying is " BTS doesn't fall, they SOAR!!!!
