8.16.2023. Watching again. This is in my top 10 fav BTS moments of all time. RM stood up immediately. He looked around to see if he really heard that right. They all had a look of disbelief on their faces. Their eyes popped open so very wide. Their mouths dropped open. JK was so stunned he didn't stand up at first. JHope stood up then sat back down. They obviously did NOT expect this award. It was the beginning of them winning many, many prestigious awards. I don't know the current count. But it's a big number!

I cried again watching this vid. I also remembered that the next day some fans of another group bombarded Melon with questions how and why Bangtan won. They wanted explanation, they almost forced melon to show HOW IT ALL HAPPENED... and they wanted Melon to take back the award... it was such a stressful day... and then Melon answered those fans with finality that everything is unquestionable. Bangtan got their first daesang becausr they deserved it and it was what their record showed... this yr's year end awards show will be hectic as senior groups will be doing their comeback... i would love to see interactions and healthy competition..
