You guys *really* need to listen to more RM's stuff... I heard even patreon is lacking his stuff? Joon is very versatile. Not only in his songwriting style, production, but also his lyrics, and flow :) I do hope with that, you guys will get to appreciate him more and that he's more than just grunty voice rappers with fast paced flow.

I see an update from yall and I run 🏃🏾‍♀️😄 At this point I feel a little vulture-ish always saying “react to this next” so just wanna say thank you for the great content everyone and all the effort that goes into editing this (Nick!). Keith got it spot on, RM starts stuttering as a way to mock whoever he’s referring to. He definitely owned that song and that is the only correct opinion that I shall accept 😝 I think the explanation video explains RMs verse the best for non-Korean fans to fully grasp what he’s saying!

My personal favorite thing about this track, it's the fact they used a very eastern asian production type of sound at a time where they were calling bts sell out and westernized because of their rising popularity in the US, and they choose to do this in a diss track addressing everything the haters were saying about them, like "oh you were calling us westernized, well we gonna diss you using the most asian beat ever"

So much is lost in translation, especially with songs that contain a lot of word play, like Ddaeng. I personally enjoy the way the rap line takes the mickey out of haters in this track: elegantly and eloquently!

part of me still thinks this anthology is because they haven't gotten military info yet. I think we will get a new album later in the year. (the raplines joint songs) jhopes: 1 VERSE, baseline & hansang RMs: joke and do you SUGA -AGUST D *if u wanna understand DDAENG u should watch the explanation video its makes a lot of sense* when u do cz there's* *ALOTT of wordplay* that the rapline incorporates into their rap verses its kinda insane ESPECIALLY RM HIS WORDPLAY IS SO INSANE AND IS THE GROUPS PRIMARY SONGWRITER, and the rapline has done some name-dropping in some of their songs but they generally mostly address haters

I highly recommend watching the "Ddaeng" explained video. The word like you said has many meanings. The way they use it in this song is beyond clever. I mostly hear "ddaeng" as "wrong" or "incorrect", thanks to Run BTS. PD Na's voice is ringing through my head now, lol. They even won the rights to sample his voice in a song. I know you're not that far along into Run BTS, so the information regarding PD Na will be confusing.

As much as I love y’all Redemption, y’all really slept on Joon’s verse. Nick and Keith y’all were doing a good job at trying to explain his verse and what he was trying to get it, props to that but it kinda felt like everybody had a emotionless face when his verse came. Typically everybody who reacts to this song is super hype when Suga or Hope’s verse come on and are quiet and amazed at Joon’s verse because of the stuttering and the way he just approached the his verse, but again it felt like y’all were just kinda like bored by his verse. I know y’all were probably expecting something super hype from him but this just shows another form of his versatility with his rap. Good reaction tho, the only thing that we’re gonna get like this from the new album is probably Cypher pt3. However I think one of the new songs “Run BTS” is gonna kinda be similar like Mic Drop in a since, it has that vibe.

this is a JAM! like someone else mentioned Namjoon verse is one his greatest verses on his career as a rapper, the lyricism on this song is very intrigue and interesting, you mentioned guys you didn't expect this but with BTS is better don't set up expectations...I am not saying on a bad way but is just that like you may know already the guys cover everything, from a to z, when you think they already did everything they always bring something new and fresh to the table even on their main genre like is the rap/ hip-hop so is just matter to keep the mind open to expect the unnexpected with BTS lol , btw guys is a MUST to see the DDKTV "Ddaeng" explanation...it will blow your minds for sure, and yes Lo is a diss song but on a brilliant way, thank you for the reaction, I love when the whole panel is together to react to BTS :)

Lo Runch DID snap. Like he was mockinggggggggg the tingss. Like it was intentional. Yes he had a point to make. I feel like ya'll really go hard on RM and don't really give him a chance especially from comments made on patreon but I get everyone has preferences. Also there is a behind the scenes of their studio session for this. Also they do shit talk alot but it is in their earlier content that is more rap focused so please react to more rap focused songs and RM songs as it's lacking on patreon but i'm waiting patiently for more🙏

I defo feel like RM is slept on and he doesn’t get credit at alll. Even rap aside, some people make out like all of bts write songs for bangtan but before 2020 - vocal line did not write/contribute to the albums and RM wrote allllllll their stuff, his stuff and 99% of the group stuff and even for MOTS: 7, he wrote most of it. Namjoons music taste and versatility is a big part of what got the band here (but at least the members give him his flowers and say they wouldn’t be where they are without him and always thank him for writing the songs etc). Also, how they didn’t all love RMs verse on this idk 😩🤷🏾‍♀️🤯😂 but personal taste I guess and that’s allowed (but I think some of the word play/meaning got lost in translation which didn’t help).

Before BE where they all participated and talked about their input the majority of writing contribution was RM (even in BE nearly all talked about how RM helped them with their song) and I feel like because since 2020 the others are starting to be more involved ppl have completely forgotten that RM carried this group on his back until then and it's still majority RM. He's so humble that unless it's written on paper like the Proof album where you see all his hard work, ppl just dismiss his musical contributions and just say oh he's a great leader, thanks for helping the team. When he's so much more behind the scenes yet it's rarely acknowledged or appreciated. Especially as he hasn't had a solo recently since 2018 ppl don't give him his credit. I hope he starts to push himself a bit more to the front but it's definitely not his personality.

@@jamkutie YESS!!!! I’ll never forget that in the Soop episode where the members go out & are having fun and RM stayed in the van working Jungkooks “My Time”. I get so irked when people say “RM used to write majority of their songs” as if it’s past tense, like no. RM stays writing all the songs and assisting with those who want to now contribute (for BE). Matter fact, he even helps the vocalists for the solo projects OUTSIDE bangtan! There is a reason he’s the youngest and 2nd most credited song writer in S.Korea. Give our boy his flowers man! 😤😤

@@Jubilee88 I think maybe that was Bon Voyage where he stayed behind but I totally get you. I am sick to see him get dismissed so easily. It's such a shame. He definitely needs flowers from ARMY I think especially those who joined the fandom during covid wouldn't have a clue how integral RM has been apart from leader because to be honest there isnt much videos that highlight his works- most are only about god of destruction or great leader. Also both suga/jhope released music videos in 2020 at the height of a new wave of fans so I think people have just forgotten about RM plus his last mixtape Mono had no music video. Hoping for RM3 that he actually shoots a video and releases soon so people can remember his music exists lol.

This anthology was meant to be released in 2020 according to k-media. Why would they be saying Goodbye? If anything it's because they're going to military and didn't wanna release a new album if they couldn't promote it. They aren't saying Goodbye when they mentioned they've been working on alot of new music as soloist and as a group

I am screaming so happy this finally is here this is my favourite rap line song. Ugh is 2 and outro tear is the 3rd Ddaeng meaning keeps changing in the song. Jhope makes you so hype for this song but RM cerebral genius you was still teasing ( they talking mess of his speeches) his haters he saying he doesn't talk well whilst stuttering . I flipped the table when hearing this

The main point of this song actually explains how kmedia always treat bts wrong. Bangtan ddaeng means bts is always wrong. Because even now they still get slanderous news from the media. Even when they were nominated for a grammy as the first korean artist, kmedia even wrapped up the news by making an article that bts failed to win a grammy instead of being proud. The funny thing is this song was released on the album love yourself tear 2018. But the lyrics can still make satire to the media until now

i really hope you can watch the explanation cause it's a shame not to understand the lyrical genius they put in this track. Ddaeng generally means wrong but the rapline used the term in multiple ways
