Suga is a strong man, that’s the reason why we love him so much. He had already experienced sh*t things in life that’s why he is eager to make music that can heals, comfort, and motivate people in life as he don’t want others to be feel lonely and go through it alone

Jimin makes me cry every single time, he has been so talented so gifted since the beginning and seeing him going through a low time always makes my heart aches. Everyone goes through a phase where they doubt themselves or don't feel that confident but the fact he shared and opened to so many people makes me feel so proud of him and it shows how brave and strong he is.

Just fyi, Minwoo from Shinhwa is 79 liner. Shinhwa has 6 members, 3 of them are already married (and one of the 3 has a baby recently). I am grateful for Anessa for making The Rise of Bangtan for many reasons. One of them is the perspective she bring as she places BTS in context of Kpop history and Korean culture. Since I came to BTS in 2019 I have been curious about what it was like to be a fan of Kpop before BTS--an OG fan. Anessa gives us just a glimpse and I appreciate learning more so I can educate myself and not pass along misinformation. For example, knowing about a group like Shinhwa and seeing how they are also pioneers and mentors. It is especially hopeful to see a group stay together so long as it sets precedent. It is a glimpse of a potential future where BTS is celebrating their 20th anniversary. 😁 BTW, thank you for playing the Run Ballad mix---it was a delight to listen to it with you (even a little).

Aww I can't wait for you guys to attend your first BTS concert; being around fellow ARMY is just as special and memorable as seeing and supporting our boys. Seeing the purple ocean of army bombs, getting freebies, attending all the pre-concert events, and seeing all the cute and creative outfits/signs is such an unreal experience you'll never forget. BTS has inspired our lives and we inspired theirs, the bond you get from this fandom is unlike any other.

fire was actually the very first song I heard from them back in 2016 and I loved it but never searched further. Then I rediscovered bts in 2019 again when they performed boy with luv, and stanned them ever since. It's true when they say you find bts when you need them most.

Shinhwa was the first Kpop group I found back, way back in the day. They're still together and yes, they own Perfect Man. gotta watch some of their old stuff because they were so so good. There are 6 members in the group and have 3 rappers and 3 vocalist. Yes, they did their military service and have families but are very private and their fans are respective of this. Most of them have solo music as well. I think a few months ago 3 or 4 of the members made a MV as well...they are just so very hardworking artists. They will always have a place in my heart.

Yes. That was a thought he was having. A little background. Jimin was almost not picked. In fact, he almost got kicked out as a trainee many times. Before I go on these observations are taken from past interviews, from Jimin himself, and other members talking about him. I wish I had a catalog of chapter and verse so you could go look up the specific video I heard these things, but I don't. So I will put a disclaimer on what I'm saying. These are my personal observations and thoughts from what I've heard. To continue. Jimin almost got kicked out because he would get in trouble and get disciplined by mgmt or the group. And then his response was anger and rage. Of all the guys, he hits rage from 1 to 100 the fastest. When Jimin was signed, they started teaching him rap. Per Suga's wisdom he told mgmt Jimin is not a rapper. JK and Jin immediately upon signing got vocal coaches. Jimin didn't, but he really wanted to become a good singer. I found out later because Big Hit was poor and new they did not have vocal coaches as employees. So they had to pay for them. Jimin was left out. This may have started his self doubt. Jimin would go to JK's voice lessons and listen through the doors. JK kind of coached him, but he didn't really know how. So Jimin started practicing on his own. He was never given pats on the back for his singing. In many videos, he is asking the other members how he sounds. Is he ok? He had zero self confidence in his singing. He would come off stage crying when his voice cracked. To this day...as you saw in the Suga interview of Jimin...he still thinks he is lacking and continues to work very hard on his voice... despite his new album's songs setting all kind of records and getting recognition and winning awards. Per the Vlive with Suga and Jimin after one of Suga's concerts that Jimin attended..he told Suga he is taking voice lessons. Jimin is a perfectionist. And his voice is really good now because of his hard work and determination. But Jimin to this day is still hard on himself.

In Suga's interview with Jin, his latest "Suchwita" Jin explains the exact reason why they thought of disbanding after 7 years. It was new and never disclosed information Army didn't know. So NO spoilers from me. I highly recommend Suga's interview with Jin. Not only do we find out that information, but also more interesting personal insights into BTS. So, also watch Suga's interview with RM. And RM in turn interviews Suga on Suga's own show at a later date. I Highly Recommend them. Also, the documentary of Suga's journey to create D-Day, his latest album. More disclosures there too! Fascinating stuff.

bang PD has actually said what he promised he would after BTS became the biggest group in the world. they are now friends with him and can call him friend. normally you are not allowed to call a older person a friend. And a CEO a friend even more rare. they normally dont even talk to their idols. so BTS was the only one to do that. they are now more important to the company then bang PD is, they can make everything without his help. and it´s a flex to others. even the precident of korea and even Biden said they respect BTS that´s crazy to think about

When Minwoo asked Jungkook if he knew Seo Taiji, it brought back two of my favorite BTS memories. The first when BTS did a live cover of Seo Taiji's song, "Come Back Home" and them performing that (and others) with Seo Taiji at his 25th anniversary show. Mind blowing! You don't have to do a reaction to them but it's a must-see for you guys.

Shinhwa is the only group still together from the 1st generation of Kpop,a lot of those from that generation are still active but as solo singers or as entertainers/actors

17:37 one thing that really stands out to me is that even when they’re on their own bts tend to introduce themselves as “i’m bts’ jungkook/jin/jimin etc”. they really seem to love each other and they everything they do is for the group

There’s a magazine interview to RM he was ask about 10 years from now about BTS its was like 2014 interview and he said he wishes they are still together and won’t be broken by personal greed , as what we can see now bts is still intact and no personal greed they always support each other.

They considered disbanding at the beginning of 2018 (less than 5 yrs since debut), but glad they talked it through and continued their journey of being the greatest boyband in the planet.

Minwoo from Shinhwa was born in 1979 (the other members are around that age too) and they're still together today;they debuted in SM but later on created a company with another member called Shinhwa Company so they are their own company. Half of the members are married too;also they had a 4 year hiatus while they all went to the military

BTS is a humble group. Jimin is exceptionally so. He has never seen himself as a talented artist no matter how people see him that's why he practices exceptionally hard for BTS and Army.

I can't believe you guys haven't heard Agust D! It's lifechanging stuff, especially his mixtape called D2. I would highly recommend listening to the entire mixtape in one sitting. Also, Agust D, D2, and Agust D's recent album called D-Day are a trilogy btw and it's where you can see the other side of Suga that he doesn't often showcase in BTS songs.

I'm binging your videos, and I just want you to know guys that I enjoy your reactions so much! I remember being a baby ARMY around the time Yoongi released his first mixtape and at that time I was really having a hard time with my mental health, and his mixtape helped me a lot. There's an inside truth in the fandom that you get to know Bangtan when you needed them the most, and this ep just brings me back to that time. When Yoongi released his 2nd mixtape, you can feel that he's calmed down and is much more grounded which also resonated with me, as I grew older, I keep thanking his first mixtape because The Last really saved me. You should definitely watch their whole Epilogue concert, You will really appreciate the live band and their performance was amazing considering they are in their early years. You won't believe it's a 2-3 year old group. If you don't know them you will think they are a group who is already doing it for years because of their stage presence.
