You've met our Queen Spring Day - this song has been on the Korean charts since the day it was released. It's a song that has captured the hearts of millions of people since it's sad but still hopeful. After you've seen the explanation video you're never going to be able to listen to the song the same way again. For me this is what sets our boys apart from other groups; deep lyrics that are like a warm hug when we needed it. Suga's verse always hits me because I know how pain can be translated into anger... Fun fact time: Several years ago the boys put out a survey for ARMY to pick songs for particular situations. Spring Day was on A LOT of them to the point Suga was flipping through pages to find one that didn't have that first. He called it a zombie song since it's never died. Edit: I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I lost my dad about 12 years ago so I understand what it means to lose a parent.

I'm sorry about your mother, spring day has the power to definitely hit you in the feels. I lost my mom, sister, sister's husband and an auntie all in a 4 month period about 4 years ago as well, and I lost my husband of 30 years just last year. BTS has a way of finding you when you need them the most, I found them about 6 months before my mom died. I listened to this song on repeat, I didn't know how to grieve back then, so I'd just watch this song and cry. But it helped me get through it. Ofc I could not block out the grief when my husband died, that was impossible (which is better, you can't really ignore grief or it eats at you, you gotta work through it) spring day now reminds me to have hope, because ultimately that's what the song is about. Namjoon wrote this while thinking of lost friends, but the mv is about something more. If you watch the mv, and the explanation, remember the mv is about something awful and tragic, the song itself is about missing people you love and having hope for the future in spite of the sorrow. I separate the song from the mv, I watch lives or just listen, because otherwise I can't help but think of what the mv symbolizes and I get upset. Also idk if anyone told you, if you watch the mv and explanation, trigger warning, you'll probably cry and get angry, so be in the right headspace before watching the explanation. I also cried with you even though I watched this video so many times. Spring Day is the Queen of all BTS songs and it has a deeep deeep meaning. On a lighter note, I suggest you watch Save Me MV as well. It is a one-shot MV, no effects, no heavy costumes or make up, just them dancing and brilliant camera work! Keep it up!

I am sorry for your loss 💜. I lost my 5 year old son 4 years ago to brain cancer and this song always brings me to tears. BTS has healed me in many ways, when they found me, I was at my lowest point in my grief journey. This song expreses how I feel so well. 💜

Spring day is worth reacting to both the MV but you need to then watch the explanation video my Italian ARMY - all I will say is bring tissues. The story behind this is heart breaking. This song has not left the charts in Korea since it was released. We call her our Queen. It hits hard. Makes me cry every time I hear it even now years later.

I’ll just say Dynamite was such a needed gift to lift us up in the darker days of mid 2020 pandemic. Spring Day is one of the most overwhelming songs/MVs. I’ll just say save it till you are ready the explanation it’s a very real tragedy (there are a few the Italian Army one is the most accurate but very graphic about the Sewol tragedy showing many clips of screaming hysterical parents, some reactors can’t finish it and I feel not warning it’s that awful can be more than we should ask of reactors. Watch it and share it if you can but only when in a good headspace and have someone around to hug afterwards). You are under no obligation to go in unwarned and no one owes us your trauma if it triggers you. That said the corruption and story are as uplifting in how many people protested for years as it is enraging that so many children died.

Tiny Desk concert is what turned me into Army!! It's such a beautiful performance and their vocals are top-tier! And the fact that you can see that they are clearly enjoying themselves. I just love them so much. 💜

Spring day is honestly one of the most beautiful song’s that BTS has that has such a profound impact on me. I can relate to this song in so many ways. I like you lost my mom to. I was 15 when she passed from cirrhosis of the liver and 28 when I lost my dad to cirrhosis and then 37 when I lost my best friend and oldest sister to cirrhosis as well. And when I hear this song it just comfort’s me in so many ways and help’s me with my grief so I know how you feel. Sorry for your lost. I lost my dad in 2018 and Spring Day is always a song that close to my heart. The first korean words I learned through BTS was Bogo Shipda (I miss you) and that was the first lyrics in Spring day. With BTS you will be taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with their diverse discographies. They reach us in all situations we are facing and when we need it. As other army pointed out in the comments, Spring Day is a great and special song to the army especially to the South Koreans in general. It never leaves the chart since it was released in 2017. Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions. DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly. Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much. Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly. And despite the fact that you could have possibly done a workaround and edited out how the song made you truly feel, I commend you for sharing that piece of vulnerability with your audience. I, too, had lost a parent when I was younger (a little over 13 years ago), and yet when I listen to "Spring Day," the lyrics still get to me too. This was the first time I have listened to Spring Day since my father passed away. I didn't expect cry today. Thanks for not letting me cry alone.

I lost my grandma to COVID in May 2021. She was my biggest supporter and the person I leaned on the most after I was essentially disowned by my parents. I found BTS shortly after with this exact concert and Spring Day got me through the grief and guilt of all the emotions. Then I learned more of their songs and I found comfort in their words. Now, they are who I lean on 💜💜💜

The Spring Day Mv referens to Koreas ferry accident 2014 when over 300 students drowned on there field triip. Captan and crew abanded the ship when it was laying on the side, and the student was told to stay inside, the sat there whid there lifejackets on, The where small boats but the where told to do nothing, in Korea younger dont go against older people. Bts and Big Hit donated money to the students familys, even if the where poor at that time

Spring day has that effect. I'm very sorry to hear about your mom. BTS has so many amazing songs that have so much meaning. I lost my brother when he was 14 coming up on 20 years ago next year and I miss him every day. Spring day and a few other songs from BTS always makes me think of loved ones I've lost. I will always love them for putting words to my feelings and helping me through really hard times

Spring Day is the best expression of grief I've ever heard in music. It caught me like that too - if you've lost someone, all those feelings are so familiar. For some reason Jin's line about exhaling the pain like white smoke stays with me. I think it's the desperation in it. But all of them express different pieces of grief. With just a tiny bit of hope. I'm sorry for your loss, and glad you can share it with us. This song is really special. I think it's still charting in Korea... It's beloved. Its video is about a specific tragic incident. When you're ready to dive in, there's an explanation video and we'll come with you, but bring tissues. You'll be furious, you'll cry, and at the end you'll love these guys forever. This was the first thing I heard other than Dynamite (and OMG I love that you got this far into BTS without realizing their most famous song is them) and it's what hooked me. They're having so much fun together, they have amazing voices, and then they actually have things to say. Save Me is gorgeous. Spring Day is poetry. I cried the first time too. It's also the video that made me realize I was ARMY. I was rewatching it and when V said "ARMY, can you hear me?" I answered him. I saw you almost do the same thing. 😁 Save Me is sort of to ARMY - it has a couple of layers of meaning. That's one of them. RM's verse of gratitude for sure. Im so sorry for your lost.. I found BTS through Idol but Springday was the song that made stand BTS. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mum to cancer too. It was 12 years ago but still feels like yesterday. I miss her so much. I love this song and I get shivers over and over at several points in the song. It is worth exploring the MV. The song itself RM wrote while thinking about missing his friend but the MV has many visual keys to a Korean tragedy, the Sewol Feey disaster. 300+ people lost their lives and over 280 of them were school children on an excursion. The disaster was caused through corruption in the government and many artists were black listed if they spoke out, hence the subtle way of showing it in the MV. The song talks about missing someone, and each person can take that in their own way, a separation or a loss of life. Sending you big hugs of comfort 💜

Biggest of hugs and condolences to you for your loss. I can't imagine loosing a parent, but we're preparing ourselves because my dad is in a decline (he has parkinson's disease) and I don't think it'll be much longer... I love BTS because they tell their stories with such honesty and vulnerability and in return we feel seen and understood, because they're not JUST their stories, they're HUMAN stories. They have music for every mood, every moment. They've kinda become the soundtrack to my life. it's been close to 3 years and I'm here till the end.

Spring Day is NOT about the incident that people are saying. The MUSIC VIDEO however IS about the tragedy but the song itself is about the people you long for. I wish people would stop spreading misinformation about the meaning of the song. This song was released 3 years AFTER the tragedy, so I doubt they'd wait that long to write a tribute song about the incident. Regardless, these guys have a way with words and they'll get you in your feels. Zero O'Clock and Magic Shop also do this for me. And Love Myself. Outro Tear is also a great song featuring the rap line, that talks about their feelings and emotions when they were on the verge of disbanding in 2018.

OMG I was crying with you but I was also wanting to give you the biggest hug as well!! I know how it feels. Lost my Mum the same way in Dec2003 she was only 57 years old. Still hard to believe especially now that I am around the same age as she was left us 5 months after finding out she had cancer. She also passed away on my Brothers Birthday right after Christmas. 😢😢😢 They say time heals but I don't think grieving a loved one ever does!! So I'm sending all my love and hugs to you mate! Also another good performance of spring day is the one they did for the 2020 UN graduation ceremony. It’s a little more lighthearted (by that I mean they play around with each other a little lol) but you it still holds the same depth and their voices are just as crisp. (you can watch the speech as well if you want). They did the speech first then performed three songs: boy with luv, spring day, and mikrocosmos (the one in the mma 2019 performance with the stars)
