i think the difference between sasaeng fans and people that just love them is the fact that they attempt to insert themselves into their lives. real fans are allowed to want to know a lot about them, that’s normal. but if you wanna know something like the next plane he getting on in order to book that same flight, going out of your way to fly on the same plane as bts even if you may not even be able to afford it can also hurt you. i don’t understand why it’s so difficult to understand that they’re people too. they have fears and some of them have anxiety, so why would you trigger that. why would you harm them for your own satisfaction. i don’t understand. don’t get me wrong, i love them with all my heart, they saved my life and i owe them everything, so if i did meet them, i would thank them, but i understand that i’m not the only one like this. there are hundreds of thousands of people like this, and they have a bury schedule so they don’t always have time to say hello. i’d also like to say that actively shipping the members is not okay. there’s thinking two members would be cute together and not posting anything like proof or analyses online, then there’s asking them to kiss when you meet them and publicly talking about how you’re so sure that it’s real. it’s okay to have thoughts, but if they can make the members uncomfortable don’t act on them. sorry this was so long but i wanted to speak my mind.

As someone who was an Army for about 4 years, I want to say something really important. A lot of armys feel worried and want to do whatever they can to protect BTS from Sasaengs but a lot of Armys don't realize that they might not stalk the members but they are deeply obsessed with them and all of us who have had an Army stan Twitter account can say that there is a lot of weird things people that call themselves "Armys" say that I'm sure if they could, they would do something similar. Always remember that it's not because you are not physically stalking someone, that it means you are not obsessed with them. This is the reason why I decided to step away and just move on. I still listen to their music because I truly appreciate their art and they make amazing music but I can say I was obsessed with BTS. I would cry if one of my biases didn't go live and I would flood the chat with messages desperate for attention. I forgot my family and I wanted to only have kpop friends and stay close to armys. I would judge people that didn't like BTS and spend hours and hours on Twitter and even forget to EAT and do things like shower because I couldn't miss their vlive, a showcase or whatever. I would wake up at 3 am and wait for their music video and just stream hours on end and even miss school just to stream their music videos. They became my life, literally my reason to live and I thought I could not live without them. It's so scary how many armys think there is nothing wrong with these things but when they add up, it's truly toxic for your mental health. I can say It was really hard for me to distance myself from social media but it was the best for me at the time. BTS has an amazing message and I know a lot of people have been impacted by their music but we need to love ourselves first. Never put BTS before the people IN REAL LIFE that love you, that care about you. Because at the end of the day, none of the members have listened to you hours on end like your friends, your parents, your boyfriend or girlfriend. Kpop Stan community is amazing if you know how to balance your life outside of it and don't end up making this your personality and your goal in life. My dream was to meet BTS but that was my ONLY dream. This is not healthy. It's healthy to have your own goals, your personal goals and then if you want to meet them, well that's okay too. What I'm saying is, don't let kpop stan life become your reason to wake up every day. Don't let BTS, become your only reason to smile. Be your own reason to keep going, become your own happiness.

honestly it's hella scary to be famous these days. Because some fans have so much access to their idols private life (instagram, snapchat videos, etc) so they feel they KNOW them. And in their mind, they think they are true loves (for example they find out they like a lot of the same things). And they will go to ANY lengths (kidnapping, trespassing, etc) to meet them so they can prove to them they are meant for each other. Also: even after the fame and money has died (so vulnerable and no security guards), these idols will always be stalked by long time obsessed fans. I honeslty feel SO BAD for famous people. To live in constant fear. No amount of money can compensate for a lack of peace of mind.

I feel like all armies in airports should do like the Mexican fans did, which is create a wall by holding hands from the people and BTS. (I'm not mexican but I think it was very nice, and ensures the safety of the boys).

I'm on the fence with this one. On the one hand, k-pop idols give a lot of fanservice and almost make it seem like they are your friend. Which they are not. And on the other hand, fans like this exist. But I'm not only uncomfortable with stalker fans, I also don't understand fans who say stuff like this: "Bts is very humble, sweet etc." like how do you know how they are in real life? They take a shit like any other human being. They fart like any other human being and make mistakes too. I like their music. J-hope is my bias, because of how he appears in those videos and interviews. Do I know him? No. Am I entitled to their time? Hell no. I don't even want to meet them. I want to see their concerts and that's it. Music is what connects me to them and music is where I should meet them.
