for your information i also used to listen to bigbang when i was a teen but facts are facts and only the pressed kpop stans will deny it lol the truth is no other korean artists had a success like bts success BTS reached places and position that NO OTHER kpop act would never dream about and this is just the truth i still don't get why it's THAT hard for kpop stans to accept it lmao it hurts them so much that finally it's not their fav group of big3 who reached this level of unprecedented success

But you’re disregarding that BIGBANG’s era was legendary. They didn’t become legends just by their music but because of the INFLUENCE they had in the whole Kpop industry. They’re trendsetters for a reason and why they’re called the blueprint of modern Kpop and THE idols of your idol. Try to accept that fact that BIGBANG will always be LEGENDARY. 🤭

Do you think Kpop now will be successful without BIGBANG’s influence? NO. All groups now literally copied BIGBANG’s concept. All 3rd and 4th gen groups debuted with a rapper line, idols are starting to produce their own music, all groups are doing different hair colors in every comeback (which GD started) and who do u think invented lightsticks for their fandom? BIGBANG. There are many more but these things were started by BIGBANG that up to this day are what we are enjoying and what new idols have been copying. THAT proves they are legendary idols. What makes them a legend is they have passed on their legacy to the next gen of Kpop. BTS is indeed the most successful but what did they exactly do to pass on the next gen of Kpop idols? Getting Kpop more known globally? That’s it??? P.S If you go to Korea everyone’s literally playing BIGBANG songs. 5 year in hiatus yet they still trend in Melon charts? That just proves people crave for their music no matter which Kpop group is more famous now.

Y'all can go comment and brag about BTS as much you want you won't see me getting bitter and acting immature under your comments, this fandom gosh ) also this is not a shade on BTS but on those who thinks numbers equals quality and brags about it*new gen fans*. Kpop has reached new heights due to contribution made by bigbang. I was never into Kpop but back few years ago every KZfaqr was making reaction videos on Bigbang. PewDiePie even attended G dragons concert with his gf lol that's when i gained interest. I played Bigbang MV's at class and everyone around me couldn't believe it's a kpop band because Bigbang was just so different from the other bands. They have experimented with more than 40 genres. Each one of them has a successful solo career. They never promoted in the western market like bands do nowadays yet have so many western fans. They truly deserve the title kings of kpop. Even people who don't listen kpop love Bigbang. In my town people are not really into Kpop but Bigbang songs are still played. People just see bigbang different than other boybands. That's the charisma Bigbang has.

Even In my town guys who dislike K-pop listen to Bigbang and never troll BB lol because they didn't even know BB is a korean band. They were all later surprised and appreciated that bigbang is different from the rest of boybands.

Lol again bigbang never promoted in the west nor do they had any interviews with the west. Last full comeback was back in 2015. Bigbang didn’t went all out promoting. Majority of the time they tour.

Wow, this made me love BIGBANG more considering they don't promote actively like the 3rd and 4th gen do now. Music is subjective so there is no point in fighting over who is better, you can praise your faves without dragging the other down. In the end, all of them will grow old, disband and disappear from our lives. Only their music will stay with us and these fights will turn out to be meaningless. Why not appropriate the art and the artists! They are supposed to bring us positivity and joy not hate and negativity. I have listened to bigbang for years and enjoyed listening to their music even to this day as they're timeless and will always be bangers. But I have never Stan a group as much as I had Stan BTS . Maybe because I relate to the message of their music more especially the ones from the raplines and the group's bside tracks. Both of these groups are special. But For me it all comes down to how much influence they have made in one's life. For me BTS did that. That won't of course disparage the amount of influence BigBang made in the music industry, they are one of the most talented . But for me , I really appreciate BTS's meaningful message and lyrical thought they put into their songs. And there are a lot that tackles not only love, youth, but problems we encounter in society. Just my opinion and hopefully we can appreciate all the good music we have then and now. Numbers that only matter in my opinion are the number of positive influences they had put in one's life.

I think you forget to mention that social media/streaming wasnt a thing when BB still active. Their last album is in 2016. There are literally no content from BB on social media and they do not have official IG.

Bigbang introduced western vibes in kpop industry. They're huge in other social medias like weibo, daum, and other Korean/chinese/Japanese apps due to kpop before is just huge in Asia. They contributed a lot to the industry like first lightsticks, being ambassador of a foreign luxury brand/s, fashion, and etc. And due today's gen, social media became popular at 2010's esp 2015+, kpop became viral. Knowing kids/teens love social apps, other artists and songs became popular too. Those artists were just a dreamer to become famous performer like their idols/sunbaes. Glad that now everyone appreciate their fruit of hardwork. 😍

Since BigBang debut, I really like all their songs released. They are master piece! You can relate in their songs too, vocals on point, visual and they can be themselves. I feel like big-bang was someone good for the younger generations of their time to look and be their favorite artist from their country someone they can look up to And because of the BTS was able to have someone to inspire them and push them forward to be their best, And thanks to Big Bang , BTS is now the biggest group in the world and they have opened up so much more for the Kpop industry and even for Big Bang if you think about it. They uses a lots of puns in their lyrics and even mention their favorite artists. Even translators struggles to translate BB's lyrics. And the translated one seems like really stupid . Bts have great songs, I know have downloaded from iTunes same number, about, of BTS songs and BB...they are different, GD is more Bob Dylan and Cash is more like BTS, got into old country music 5 years ago, GD makes simple lyrics yet so powerful like “missing you” just how he changed the tone from sweet to mad or frustrated in the second part of the song, BTS are like Cash, catchy and fun but not like....wanted man by Dylan, simple and clever, he wrote it fast in a napkin I believe. BTS and BB are great but different.

BTS aren't "prines of Kpop". That title was given to Shinee by a magazine. BTS is the Biggest Boy Band in the world. And they are also among the biggest boy bands of all time. BBC called them the Beatles of the 21st century.

Bigbang is a living LEGEND and definitely the KING OF KPOPS👑💛 * Yes, they are not active for years but it doesn't mean that they are not popular (It might not be as popular as your idols). Despite of allegations and crimes they have done, many VIPs and new fans waiting for them patiently for their comeback. They might not nominated in grammy but they still have a great impact on the world and on kpop industry. Their songs are still been play until now despite the fact that it was released decades ago which means that there songs does not age and still a trend. A TIMELESS MUSIC. They are not called kings without reason. 👑This is my opinion and thoughts💛
