exactly the point. its the technique. the ability to do it less strained and right on a pocket of that specific high note.

I agree, actually there are a lot of kpop artists who can do high notes.. but the technique and delivery is what makes it different. To be able to still use vibrato while hitting those really high note means quality and controlled vocals. So yes its not matter of perspective.. cause one can always be biased. Regardless of voice tone, its the quality of sound produced with this high notes in this video makes EXO superior.

I don't stan anyone but EXO, my only group, even as a teenager I was never a fan of anyone, but these guys are something else. Kings ❤❤❤

This story is really same as mine. I listened to BTS several times cause all of my friends are army. Last year I accidentally got to know EXO and fell in love with their vocals from the first listen. Then I realized I already have some of their songs on my playlist. I listened to those songs everyday without knowing about EXO cause I fell in love with their vocals. EXO vocals are really insane. Not to mention their visuals. That is why they are my one and only favorites in kpop.

I listened to Exo in 2013 without knowing that it was kpop, I tried to follow them but I was very small and did not understand how it worked (everything was in Korean). Then I found bts six years later and I liked them very much, but I met exo again and loved them without recognizing that it had been the first group that had stolen my heart, when I realized it became very tender and funny, they stole my heart two times in 2013 and then 2019, now they are everything to me.🖤

Real, no comparen popularidad con talento, exo se sabe que gana en talento.... Solo ver sus presentaciones en vivo te das cuenta de la calidad vocal que tienen. Pero no admiten la realidad.

Es cierto que soy EXO L y muy apasionada pero no soy extremista. Sigo de cerca la carrera de mis niños. Y por diferentes motivos he tenido que escuchar mucho kpop. Y de verdad todos son bueno y objetivamente y específicamente de este tema. Realmente EXO es mejor. Me ha tocado ver a BTS en conciertos y presentaciones pero no tiene punto de comparación en lo que hace EXO pues cada canción es única. Cada álbum de EXO es distinto y tiene un Historia detrás. Pueden decir de mil cosas pero ellos si aportan con su conocimiento y talento a cada producción de su música. Y además hasta se sabe que varios de ellos por no decir casi todos siguen aprendiendo constantemente. Aún tengan voces privilegiadas. Toman clases de canto o de cómo cuidar sus voces y diferentes técnicas. Porque uno nunca deja de aprender. Y como cada uno de ellos tiene diferentes matices que se hacen diferenciar. Y muy aparte de todo se armonizan de la maravilla. Ni que decir individualmente. Cada álbum de ellos es como un nuevo comienzo. No odio a BTS solo me disgusta que los pongan sobretodo de otros artistas. Porque hay muchos grupos muy buenos. Aparte de EXO. Y pienso que deberían de sobreponer y sobretodo atacar. Se que no todos son así. Hasta se que ellos se llevan muy bien.

@Nanma Ann Anil oh I think the original commenter isn't bashing bts but talking about their technique compared to exo what she meant by belting without purpose is that bts don't got a grasp on the vocals couse cus if u notice bts try to hit the high note with no emotion in it for them they just focus more on the note itself rather than the emotional portray while lacking so much on the emotional purpose it comes more like a scream I see so many singers do that while they just scream to hit the high note without any support or control that is wrong cus it damage their vocals for example jimin voice is getting worse day by day cus of that meanwhile jungkook is getting better cus he more support and have a purpose while singing

That's not true at all. It's okay for you to have your little opinion. But bts definitely puts emotion into their singing. They don't "just focus on the note" that sounds stupid. That comment was fully intended to be shady. Their vocals aren't damaged and when they hit the high notes, they hit them. If they were screaming they wouldn't be selling out arenas and stadiums worldwide 👍

I don't think that EXO is bettet in terms of vocals because they sing longer. Baekhyun and Chen trained only 4 months before joining EXO. And even in their rookie days they have amazing vocals already.

and Jungkook said he didn't want to take voice training classes, because he wanted to keep his voice unique🙂

@@rengina484 that's dumb of him , I am sorry but everyone has an unique vocal tone , you just have to polish it to shine it and most importantly good vocal training can minimize vocal damages, most kpop group don't care abt their vocal cord , even SM too(excessive unnecessary high notes can damage artist's vocal cord), but singers who really love to sing find good vocal teacher so that they can sing for longer time(Baekhyun , Chanyoel, Suho they all still go to vocal teacher just to sing for longer time yet they still have unique tone)

@@Michelle-so5gi Yes, Baekhyun , Chen don't have longer training but that doesn't mean they weren't trained singer , they didn't had idol training (both boys are genius because both were so natural in their rookie era, )but Both used to sing in bands , had singing experience before becoming idol training and D.O too had singing experience.and all 3 are quick learners which is why are soo developed even before their debut.

@Nanma Ann Anil I’ll put Chanyeol against the others but not JK because he has a wider vocal range. But I think Suho, Lay, Xiumin or even Kai could clear him. JK voice sounds perfect for his group though. Being able to blend and sound good with those raps is hard to do. Imo he meshes with his members the best

No, EXO high notes are head voice, compared to BTS who mostly used falsetto for their high notes. By definition, men can’t use chest voice for high notes. But head voice is stronger than falsetto.

Music is not about high notes or Low notes. It is about the music that resonates with the audience. As for the company it is the money the singers bring. I have seen a lot of good musician that got cut because they add not bring revenues to the company. Since you are a trained singer are you a good singer. Are you famous?

Y Kai también ha mejorado muchísimo vocalmente, antes era más inseguro en ese aspecto pero ya agarró más confianza y se puede apreciar en sus trabajos en solitario su voz única! 😊.
