Dima, you want to see real intense choreo from their earlier days look for Intro Preformance Trailer , boy that will blow your mind.. the intensity of that is really something else .. what I admire most about that is people used to critisize Jin for not dancing well but when you look at it, he matched every move step for step without any mistakes 👍check it out👍👍👍

This was the first BTS mv I ever heard and as a 60 + year old who detests rap and hip hop, it was a real eye opener. From the moment it popped up in my KZfaq feed it piqued my curiosity so I watched it and I was hooked. I looked for more and after watching No More Dream, Fire and Dope I was totally head first into the rabbit hole. Nearly 2 years later I'm still here and they are now my grandkids😉 and I love them...especially Jungkook he's my bias. I'm so glad I found them as they make me smile every day. 🤗💜

Yay you went back! Woopwoop! They were all dieting and ripped at this stage with fear that they might not debut etc. So hence the abs flashing. This is why I’ve been saying to go back and watch in chronological order cos you see their development and they’re freakin amazing! It’ll be a fun ride for you. Suga is the palest for sure, they prize white skin in Korea so he slathers factor 50 sunscreen on in huge layers and he says Suga is also a name Bang PD gave him the nickname cos of his sweet gummy smile and that he’s so white 🤣

how they dance depends on the song that they are singing. in each song their dance routine mirrors the lyrics, in 'butter' you had smooth as butter dancing, 'dynamite' was disco with disco style dancing, even look at the dancing for 'on'. so for me their dancing goes with the song.💜

Sleeveless shirt is Jimin - he said that was "back when he had muscles". And that choreo pulling up those shirts is one of the things that got them the start of ARMY. They have matured as dancers but there was still no other artist doing this 9 years ago that I can remember...but again, I am old so I have forgotten some things...lol. Even in these early videos you can see the result of the hours of practice they put in to be the best!! They exceeded the standard for being able to actually sing and dance at the same time. No matter how hard hitting their dance is you never hear them miss a note while they are singing in live performances. Truly amazing artists, each and every one of them. Love them all!!! Enjoy as you play catch-up. There is still so much you haven't discovered yet!!!!

Their dancing back then fit perfrctly with the themes of their music and the music videos they were producing. I've been enjoying your perspective and watching your journey to get to know BTS better.

The differences of choreo derive from the mood & tone of the songs and the trend as well.

PD Bang original vision was HIP HOP BTS, they then evolved and now carry a more variety of genre in their choreo and music.

Yes they were so young... when this song was released at Debut in 2013 they were only aged from 15 to 20 years old. 😅 Year of birth - Age at Debut 2013 (Year and age became trainee) Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo) Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo) RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo) V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo) JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) They have developed so much since then.... they are still crazy in sync but kinda smoother and more fluid now, more confident in themselves.... back then you could see how "hungry, precise and determined" they were.... if you know what I mean (not sure how to explain it)

Yeah Jimin's 6 pack was very defined, he was totally ripped in the early days as were his were biceps and triceps and did you see his forearms. His Pec's weren't that bad either.

They were so young and so hungry. You can see it. Their choreo does vary a lot over the years based on the song, but I definitely think there's some stylistic evolution too. This is where they started. Edit: yep, that's why we say Hobi is boneless. I love this trick (but I'm glad they don't do many of them moving forward, for safety). We can make you a list of hat, jacket, and similar choreography if you want. 😁

I love their ol' school hip hop era songs! I blast them all the time in my car!!! Check out their song called "NO" dance practice and their debut song "No More Dream" the Dance Practice version!! No need to apologize for taking a bit to get their names, you're doing so much better than I was at the start lol. And yeah at lot of comments already said it, but their dance style matches pretty well with their general style from back then, aside from obviously how much more time to get better they've had since then.

OH, you gotta see the real video. This was on their debut stage, song #2. They were very young, jung kook 15, jin 20. When J-hope kept doubling his knees back for that move over and over in rehearsals, it caused great injury. Water built up in his knees and surgery was recommended. Instead the water was drained off and he had bed rest, later bandages. We almost lost our main dancer and dance stage leader.

I think that what you were trying to say is that they,,Evolved " That's the reason they are where they are right now. Not many artists are capable to catch up with styles changing over the time. They sometimes get stuck in one style not able or willing to change or adapt.

Hi, when Jimin joined BTS he was already very muscular, arms, abs and thighs. The management even encouraged him to lift his vest and show his abs. Poor Jimin got a lot of hate saying he was fat and ugly, he did have chubby cheeks at that time. He later put himself on an extreme diet and lost a lot of weight, and muscle. So sad really, and that was the time when tgey would call him Mochi, because of his chubby cheeks

You should have some fun and watch the "Go-Go Dance Practice Halloween version". Watch the whole thing with the rock, paper scissors at the beginning. So much fun!

I knew you'd enjoy it 😄 This was during their debut era, when they were still basically unknown, so they did a lot of flashy choreo to catch attention ^^ And, yeah, Jimin was ripped back then. Originally they were all supposed to have abs for that lifting their shirt move, but eventually it got decided that Jimin would be the only one. I think in part because of his Modern Dance background he was already quite familiar with developing muscles ^^

The hat trick was a trick. Jungkook doesn't really catch the hat. If you watch Jimin while Jungkook is dancing you will see him put the hat back on his head.

I think I understand what you're trying to say (though please correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't want to put words in your mouth. Plus I'm not a dancer) Maybe it's because back then it was so tight, that you could tell it had been rehearsed for 16 hours a day, for weeks on end (sometimes months yes, true story), because they were still quite 'new' to each other, as people, compared to now where they rehearse whilst knowing each other for 10+ years. I imagine that has a big impact on the 'feel' of the choreo, I.E nowadays I think it feels less choreographed, step by step, even though I know that's not the case
