I've always wanted to be 100% pro-Israel. I'm not Jewish but have always been drawn to the Jewish state and I'm proud of my little obsession. But these maniac West Bank settlers are ruining it for me, and more importantly for the Palestinians (and also, in a way, for the Israelis). The "Jewish Right of Return" doctrine invariably leads to Palestinian dispossession. It doesn't help that so many West Bank settlers are vicious sociopaths, as numerous btselem videos have demonstrated.

So settlers are allowed to throw rocks without being arrested.

On the other hand, they think of any Muslim as a brown, stereotypically Arab person (despite the fact that many Iranian people are as white as me). They "other-ise" the Palestinians, which desensitizes them to violence committed against them, but are bothered by violence against Israel because they associate consider themselves similar

The key difference is that the Palestinians who act violent do so in random acts of terrorism. The Israelis actually use violence against civilians as a government-condoned policy. To be honest, I had no idea the settlers were this awful.
