Ever since McMahon hand-picked him and personally introduced him to the WWE universe way back then, I knew he would become a big star somewhere in the future. He had the build, the look and the talent similar to Randy Orton. It was unfortunate that he got wasted in the lower-tier and got released. WWE had too many talented wrestlers at the time, more than they could handle.

Everything was perfect. The redemption arc, the crowd, the build, broken dreams. He should have won. I doubt they will find a situation where each piece of the puzzle fits this perfectly again.

@@Max1mus449 I don't think a lot of people understand what 'burying' is. Cody losing at Mania doesn't instantly equal a bury. If he loses in 12 seconds like Kofi did, sure. But it's going to be a 40 minute match that goes back and forth. If he does lose (which I seriously hope happens, I get the hype but damn do I dislike him) he'll walk away looking just as if not stronger than he does now.

Even though Drew lost, but the build up, the video packages, his entrance and the match overall just made him a Superstar. A big deal guy for me personally. Tons of respect and I trust the creative, there is a plan for him

@Jesus I do agree they have a plan for him, but I also think there needs to be some kind of step up - I'm not sure what they would look like. Maybe a new theme (or use the more metal version of Gallantry that he used on NXT), new titantron, some change to his gimmick. Someone suggested that he creates a fusion of scottish warrior and scottish psychopath and become something of a tweener babyface. I don't know what, but I feel now a step up needs to happen to show the increase in his resolve, especially with him having said 'I'll never stop' to Roman.

The only thing that could top this would be to have Shaman's Harvest play Broken Dreams for Drew live at WrestleMania. Especially when the WWE now know how much the fans really love that theme. The fact that the crowd were loudly singing it....that's awesome. I don't expect to hear it everytime from here on in, but on special events like this one and a WrestleMania? Absolutely.

I don't care what anyone says. I still believe to this very day that Drew McIntyre SHOULD'VE won this match. He had everything it took to beat Roman Reigns. The redemption, the build, the look, etc. Plus, they had the crowd fired in the palm of their hands during that entire night. The POP that Drew McIntyre would've gotten had he won would've been just as big, if not bigger, than British Bulldog's when he won the IC Title from Bret Hart at SummerSlam 1992.

i would add cody rhodes' dashing and the 2012/13 theme, and jericho. world life john cena, and dolph ziggler. NWO and DX are also one of the best theme edited: jeff hardy's no more words and matt hardy's theme also the best.

This was the time to end Roman's title run. Nobody can convince me otherwise, there will never be a time as good as this. Not even Cody beating Roman at WM 39 OR 40 would have been as good as this.

I’m honestly so happy to see Drew thriving in WWE now. There was a span where it looked like they were going to bury him again, but he’s made it all the way to Main Event Megastar, and he deserves every part of it. Wish they would’ve let him win this match, but the fact that he’s even considered at all is a compliment to how hard he’s worked

I appreciate that Cole and Corey did not talk for the first 90 or so seconds of Drew's actual entrance. The lack of words makes a big match feel even bigger. It almost lets us feel the gravity of the situation for ourselves.
