Agreed. After the way he got destroyed by Navarrete I thought he would continue to go on a downward spiral. But credit to him and his father. They dropped the whole prophecised warrior king act and went to work with Barry Hunter. I think his father has been the biggest influence in his boxing career.

Dogboe dropped Ball but the referee didnt take it yet when he slipped was counted as a knockdown.

I noticed that. It was a nice counter that dropped him in the corner, but that's a slip apparently. But then running into someone so they fall off balance is somehow counted.

Home cookin and it wasn't even Thanksgiving! Dogboe's non called knockdown was legit. The punch landed even tho it hit Nick's shoulder, that's how strong the punch was. Nick's punch, partially blocked, but landed didn't cause a knockdown, the push did. Reminds me of Kostya v Hatton fight. Hatton with the illegal elbows and shoving, the ref let it go on the whole fight. The scorecards in this fight was trash!

Domination REALLY??? Ball had to dig deep for that win and the few times he was rocked. The crowd and commentary were hyping shots that were hitting gloves, just the usual to protect the fighter who sells more tickets. The standing eight count was home town cooking.

I just posted this m8 - 100% agree - Nah I heard the boys on TalkSport biging him up, there'no way he'll win a legit world title (maybe a vacant one) but he leaves himself way to open and plants his lead foot too much. He will be a classic British, Commonwealth and Euopean champion but he won't live with the yanks fighting like that. They call him 'The mini Mike Tyson' Sorry TalkSport, I just don't see it.

I remember being in the amertures when Dogboe was an amerture I knew he would go on to do big things in the pro ranks i have mad respect for him he stayed consistent and motivated and always had a lot of heart good fight both fighters well done Nick ball.

Many complain about the knockdown; i watched it live and DAZN showed a lot of angles and replays, Dogboe’s punch hit Ball’s shoulder so that wasn’t a knockdown caused by a clean punch but basically a push on an off balance Ball. I may agree with a too biased referee, but Ball clearly won this fight, Dogboe was outworked and outlanded.

All Ball did was to push Dogboe. He can’t knock him down with a blow. Every knockdown attempt by Ball included a push. And he wasn’t cautioned. That’s bias refereeing!

Damn now thats a fight. 10 seconds of any round of this had more action than Shakurs vs de los santos entire fight..Ball looks great but he sacrifices too much offense which is why if dogboe had a little more power or sat down more on his punches he'd of stopped ball, this version of dogboe has also been through 2 wars with navaratte..either way, as skilled as ball appears i dont think itll be enough to beat the top guys

From what I saw of the Replays watching the fight the first potential Knockdown was not caused by a punch but Miss balance from lunging forward and the second one the punch did not touch him it was forearm to his shoulder

Когда же Болл просто толкнул Догбо на пол, рефери увидел в этом нокдаун. Цирк! Возможно, британец и выиграл этот бой с минимальным перевесом по очкам, но действия рефери в ринге - это позор.

Awful reffing on those knockdowns. Ball was def dropped despite it not being a clean shot. Dogbae down off a slip / push. Either way it didn’t affect the result. Ball dominated throughout, volume of work was immense though Dogbae landed the more hurtful shots. Great fight.

What a fantastic match. Under a technical and athletic point of view. Both gave their best, but Bell has been incredible. Dogboe is an optimal athlete, but, it’s my opinion, he’s slowly going down.

Yeah and he should have given Ball a count.Rubbish ref did allow Ball to shove a bit and he should have got an 8 count.Dogboe whinged a bit instead of concentrating on his own boxing.

There is no standing 8 counts. In the 4th round the ref called it a knockdown, not a standing 8 like the commentator mentioned.

"Domination" where? Very strange title for the video. Ball won by majority decision - and rightly so. However, he had to weather the storm of the first few rounds and was lucky to not have a knockdown scored against him - whilst being given a pretty dubious one himself. Great fight and great tension throughout.

Just seen the fight Dogboe v Emmanuel Navatte.Dogboe definately looks stronger in this fight.The step up in weight really improved him.Ball rather fortunate to win this fight it has to be said.That rubbish ref allowing Ball to push occaisionally and that 8 count he should have took.Im a fan of Nick Ball but a good ref might of made it a better fairer fight for Dogboe.
