Well technically not true bro. Buakaw is a stand up fighter I don't know how much of a grappling and ground game he have. This chineese basted probab also have some ground game to his advantage. But he calls out one of the most legendary muay thai fighters of all time. At least respect yourself and finish the daim fight or give him the win.

Buakaw explained in his own KZfaq channel that the knee strike with the muaythai plum was legal so long as only 1 knee strike was thrown. The Chinese officials were all perfectly fine with it since this was agreed on by all sides prior to the match, but this dude literally decided in the middle of the match that he didn’t like it and tried to change the rules mid match. Buakaw said this is the first time he’s ever experienced that. Even tho the match was held in China with Chinese officials, everyone was on Buakaw’s side, and the officials were trying to explain to the other guy that 1 knee strike was allowed but he was being a diva and refused to fight unless they changed the rules. The crowd was furious, and the Chinese fighter got so much hate online that he had to delete his social media. This fight was also uploaded to a Chinese channel and all the comments in Chinese praise Buakaw and blame the Chinese fighter for embarrassing China. I do agree tho that if this was held anywhere else the match would probably end in a tko win for Buakaw since the other dude didn’t want to fight, so obviously I don’t agree with the NC, but I think it was more to do with the officials not knowing what to do rather than them being corrupt. They were all in agreement with Buakaw, so this isn’t a case of foul play but rather just one fighter being a diva and refusing to fight. Ps: in case you came from Gabriel Vargas’ channel, yes I did also commented this on his video as well and just copied and pasted it here for anyone curious.

I always thought that Kung Fu is disrespected because it is an impractical style/technique of fighting. Honestly seems to be overly theatrical compared to other disciplines, this has been evident in many fights throughout history. Ill admit that KungFu does offer some advantage, specifically related to he range of striking, but as a Martial art it is very overhyped and incomplete in my opinion.

Didn't think I would find a fight more embarrassing than Buakaw's second fight with Yi Long. Fights like this are black marks in Chinese combat sports history, and are exactly why people don't take Wushu, kung fu and Sanda seriously. Xu Xiaodong is right. Do not take any televised international fight in China seriously.

He is literally the only fighter I've ever thought gives off Dragon Ball Z character vibes XD I've seen some of his fights, and a bunch of his highlights. He is truly incredible. His balance, strength, flexibility, technique, conditioning, toughness are all on another level. He is extremely dangerous at any range. It's also amazing how well conditioned and how good Buakaw still is at his age. Just absolutely incredible. What an amazing athlete! He just looks very comfortable in there, yet also very intense. He definitely gives off some serious vibes!

Wang made it sounded like Buakaw refuse to fight with MMA rule, but in reality Buakaw was all for it, but he insisted that his fee has to be renegotiated. Funny thing is, with MMA rule Buakaw would be able to really fuck Wang up even worse than with K-1 rule.

@@LawrenceKenshin Yes, his excellent and extremely dangerous clinch techniques would work very well in MMA, and obviously virtually all Muay Thai techniques are very useful in MMA anyway. His excellent push kicks would actually be quite useful as well, especially against grapplers. His push kicks don't just create space, they can do serious damage.

Usually gonna cheat, play dirty, and use shortcuts, but always hides behind "higher authority" when being done the same, or when someone fights back in this case... I'm quite glad the crowd was upset at him and that he kinda got roasted on social medias, shows some things are changing for the better ;)

Unfortunately after that referee went to Buakaw corner and asked him to accept this new rule for just another round and they will call it over Buakaw posted in his social media later that this is quite a trick for a foreign promotors to rig the match because if Buakaw agree to fight another round and couldn't KO this Chinese guy he'd be set to lose by point or draw for the best PS. Buakaw announce on the ring that he'll fight with this new rule(no knee no elbow) but the promotors has to pay more because he sign the contract to fight in K1 rule that allowed 1 clinch 1 knee, if they want him to fight in different rule the new contract and price rate need to be adjust to match it

Nah Chinese fighter was the only one that thought knees were illegal in this match even though the ref and crowd knew one knee in the clinch was 100% legal. Ref even tried telling the dude that it was completely legal. Chinese fighter was just aiming for the nuts the entire time

Lol lots of chinese articles reporting how Buakaw "nearly lost" to Wang, and so he has "no choice" but to use knee on Wang to prevent being KO...which then led to Wang being very unhappy. Their media is completely twisting the narrative in Wang's favor.
