I can't wait to see Kota in the ring for a real match again. He sure has a bright future ahead.

I think this is more like Buakaw is preparing for K1 fights. Not sure if this event is this month. It seems to me that Kota doesn't want to harm Buakaw unnecessarily. Also that's why Buaklaw wears head protection. Never seen him before having this on.

The irony is that I dont think Buakaw is going hard-hard, it looks like hes going mid power, which is crazy b/c the thumps you hear from his strikes sounds like he is going hard. I will say, i wish he would stop going for the back of the head, theres a reason why that strike is illegal in almost every combat sport
@Saturn9-2 күн бұрын
Actually Buakaw was playing around. He was hitting lightly. Kota was probably careful cause he was brought in as a sparring partner. You don't want to injury a fighter before a fight.

Thai fighters play rough dude and Japanese fighters can take it with heart and also dish it out.

Damn I kinda wanna see real boxers try that dirty collar tie drag->right hand. I think it’d be slick shit if modified or used until the ref calls it out lol

buakaw is an amazing fighter but his boxing and striking in hand to hand combat is lacking its clear to see. Taking nothing away from him because nobodies perfect and hes a legend. But it proves that boxers have masters the art of punching.

I have rarely ever been hit in the back of the head in my life, so I cannot tell how much that would bother me, but I love the jokes and such. I just think that thais being so playful like that with a japanese may come across as slightly uncomfortable. But whatever, Kota is a fighter, not a regular Joe, he is a real japanese warrior. I'm sure he had fun too. I think Buakaw could have been lighter on some punches since Kota had to go light as he was the sparring partner, but whatever really. It's great :)

Why was the ref giving Buakaw a standing 8 count?
@deensama771820 сағат бұрын
lol he was playing around, he started giving it to Miura, then turned to Buakaw, then turned again, then finished the 8 count by being near buakaw while showing 'hands up' to Miura (since he's the one who has to show he wants to continue). Sometimes refs will stand near the person who did the knockdown just to make sure they're staying back and then walk over to the other fighter as they finish the count. He's just playing on that by looking like he got confused who he's giving the count to

Just too tempting for Buakaw not to do a low kick. Since this is boxing, he punched Kota's leg instead (0:50). LOL.

mismatch... buakaw is clearly not at Kota's level in boxing.
While I'm fan of Buakaw and aware of Thai's playful sparring, but dirty boxing and strikes to back of the head? I know he wasn't going 100%, but he still swung hard enough to be borderline disrepectful.
