my grandma is a suay, she was from ubol rachathani. the suay people speak lao now maybe in the past they did speak mon-khmer but not anymore. the sui people migrated into thailand along with the mon and created the daravati kingdom in lop buri. that got sacked by the rising khmer power of angkor in the 11th century. sui and mon people came from india. they were the one who brought over thervada buddism. the ancient lao thai text were influence by mon not khmer. mon were the original tribes there

Also, not that Buakaw has some kind of Khmer background. He is totally a Khmer descendant who is now a Thai. For your Khmer history, Sorin was part of Khmer land at one time. Sorin Thai now are thus ones from the original Khmers. But that's just a history. The future, likely, Khmer, Thai, Vietnam, Lao, Americans, Canadians, Africans, Mexicans, etc... all will live in one world, one country, and one government. So, it does not seem to matter now who we are or what nationality we have.

True but that was a "kickboxing" fight. Bird looked so limited in that fight because he was used to the tradition Kun Khmer boxing. It would have been a different outcome if i was!

Anybody who says Mickael got destroyed it's simply because you don't understand muay thai. Who has ever made a tit for tat "TIT O TIT" against Buakaw? Nobody! Mickael did and it was a brilliant display of passion in the ring. It's one of my all time favourite fight just because of heart of passion this two warriors put on display that was absoloutly beautiful to watch. They were both great in every aspect "FIMEU" to say. Thanks 4 U 2!!
