And the battle was fought for a particular reason, right? The flag was only waved on the side of the people fighting to preserve slavery. The leader of that side of the battlefield (Jefferson Davis) even himself argued that the war was being fought to ensure that Black people (he obviously used a different word) were treated as the subordinate race.
