So, here's the thing. Jesus is not some fictional character from a story book or someone's dream. He was God who came to live among men and was wrongfully put to a gruesome death by hanging on the cross. He took the punishment knowing very well that he did no wrong and shed his blood knowing that it will wash away the sins of man. Being God, he had power over death and rose up on the 3rd day to live among us as a spirit.
