Absolutely!! 45 years a Browns fan and I'll never forget that Baker made the Browns a winner. Since that night vs the Jets he walked on the field (I was there!) he single handedly removed the Browns from being the laughing stock of the NFL. Wish him nothing but greatness

Build around a now mature Baker Mayfield and scheme to his play style, he'll be a franchise QB. It sounds like Baker has definitely grown up a lot.

And Baker is a franchise QB regardless of height - nobody complained about Brees… he is taller than Tua Tagovailoa, Bryce Young, Kyler Murray, Russell Wilson, and the same height as Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts… so attacking his height is pretty weak. Whenever he has had a decent OC that lets him play his own style and coaches that let him be himself… he succeeds.

@@JabezGill he can’t see the play develop from inside the pocket. He can’t step up in the pocket to make a throw. No one is attacking anything just making a obvious observation. He’s not a franchise QB which is pretty evident considering the only place willing to possibly franchise him paid Deshaun Watson tons of money to move from Baker. There are tons of better QBs coming out of college each and every year. He couldn’t score a single touchdown against Carolina in a must win game. Also he threw 3 INT in that Carolina game that the defenders couldn’t hold on to all in the first quarter. If those guys catch any one of those 3 bad passes we lose that game. If it wasn’t for Winfield Jr. we lose that game. He missed a wide open Mike Evans by throwing an out route to the inside. Baker is a back up QB masquerading as a starter. He’s the same caliber as Gardner Minsew or Carson Wentz. I love my team too much to get shackled to Baker.

I've always liked Baker and am happy for him. After the debacle he went through in both Cleveland and Carolina, it seems like he's found some stability on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The fact that he said he's having fun playing football again speaks volumes.

Rooting for the Bucs but I got to shift my money from Bucs to Eagles. Nothing would be more spicy for the NFL than Baker vs. Flacco in the Super Bowl. But every time Mayfield goes on one of these shows, he ends up losing the next game up. You can't argue with the analytics. Watch the money line shift more towards the Eagles after this interview. Man, just concentrate on the next game for the next 5 weeks. Celebrate and reflect later. Save this interview for after the last whistle for the season. Jalen Hurts is going to be focused. Excited to see Sooner on Sooner crime.

Eagles will grind and find a way to win this even with their recent poor performances and injuries. Eagles have very good running back trio and a QB who can be threat running the football. And still have banged up AJ brown and watkjns even without Smith, they can beat tampa. Hurts need ro protect the ball and avoid self inflicted interceptions. If just does that, and have a good 70 to 30 run pass ration they will be fine to win. I also see them using lane johnson a lot in run game.

It’s really cringey to me how hard Rich stans for baker. I wish he’d just say he stans for *college* baker. NFL Baker can be as MENTALLY dedicated to being great as he wants to be… and be willing to take hits for the down and all that. But when he can’t convert on 3rd downs, or throws 10 yards short, and gets balls batted down bc *physically* he’s shorter than the opposing d-line (which he has no control over, I understand that)… he cannot be a competitive, elite QB in this league. He can’t win against teams like the ravens or the 49ers or the Lions even. Winning the NFC South, in this year, is not the flex folks are making it out to be

Oh and the “flex” was that the Bucs were projected by everyone to place last this year in their division and compete with the cardinals for the first round pick without Brady yet they finished with a better record than with Brady so your Baker hating arguments are invalid.
