You have explained it in a awesome way Sir, I have doubt about how the trip circuit and alarm circuit got activated. But your explanation is just nice. A lots of thank to you. But I have a doubt that from where the gas comes to the relay.

The gas comes from the result of oil overheated during transformer internal faults Sir.

Sir,I am Abhranil,a govt service aspirant from Diploma in electrical engg.section.I watch your videos on a relgular basis.I have a question from transformer breather working principal. A partially oil filled cup is used to absorb the dust particles from air before it enters in the silica gel container.There is a oil level mark over this cup.My question is the air inlet/outlet duct which is looking like partially submerged in oil (oil cup).So is it the right process to fit this cup beneath the breather air ventilation duct.I think in this situation it can release conservator's air from this submerged in oil duct,but can not inhale fresh air because it is already submerged,how can something breath inside any liquid substance. Sir, please help me to find out this problem Thank you.

Sir, I have a question. What does the trip circut mean? After Mercury switch is tilted two terminals are shorted so the circuit will be closed but how does tripping takes place with closed circuit. Hoping to get an answer sooner or later

the current in the trip circuit will enerigise a trip coil which produces magnectic attraction in the contacts of circuit breakers therby causing it to break its contact

sudden release of energy in form of sparks in capacitor and as arcs in inductor...there are some videos in youtube which shows arc is produced when the isolator is opened without breaking the circuit breaker contacts...this arcs are due to inductors

Yes!! there are few disadvantages with this, like: mercury switch should accurate & insensitive to the other vibrations or mechanical shocks. and It can be only used in oil immersed Transformer. It takes some minimum time for operation which makes the response slow.
