I know that there are other copies of the end titles to Buckaroo Banzai, but I thought we needed one that was clearly labeled, not edited, and in the right aspect ratio. ;)

+Charley Deppner I agree. I discovered this movie a couple years back as I was only 3 when it came out. I found it on a list of movies that promised sequels yet didn't happen. I love the ending the most, just because it is pure 80's bliss, and it brings me to my childhood again.

When the cast was marching down the streets a truck was following them and supposed to blast out the ending music. But the theme hadn't been finished yet, so the director decided to use a song that was close to what they were planning to use. They blasted out Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" instead. You can see how the cast reacts: Some try to ignore it, others seem amused by it, a few (like the little kid) just think what the heck and groove LOL

When a couple of doctors figured out how to pass through solid matter (Banzai and Lizardo) - they encountered aliens from the 8th dimension that tried to take over the world. It was up to Team Banzai to stop them. Simple plot, honestly. But the alien Rastafarians were not happy with those 8th dimension aliens being in our dimension, so they (the Rastafarian aliens) vow to destroy Earth to stop them if necessary. So there's a lot of pressure on Dr. Banzai.

When I would rent the video and play the end credits over and over. I think I even recorded it on cassette - putting the microphone next to my speaker. Not the best quality but at least I had the music. Thanks for posting this! Great quality!

"So what, big deal" This ending credits still resonate in my melon like a timeless gem that will always be a part of me. I now live in California where most of this was filmed, but I originally lived in New Jersey, too wild. Wicked mad props for posting this. "wherever you go, there you are"

Nowadays when you see this on TV they don’t show the ending credits like they use to, they go half screen, turn down the sound, speed up the credits and play an advertisement. It was playing tonight on MGMHD so I came here for my fix.

First saw this flick in 1986 when Fox only aired movies in the week nights. The movie is a all-over the place sci-fi comedy but it is very enjoyable and loved it more as I got older. This is the best closing title ever as it does look like a MV. Man this is old now as everybody in the movie dresses in the New Wave 80s style only Duran Duran or the Human League could pull off!

When I see stuff like this on KZfaq, man, the goosebumps. Not because it was a great movie, it was very campy, but because I was only 17 years old in 1984 and movies like these were really fun to watch. No stress in my life, absolutely nothing to worry about. I miss those days of youth.

I could see resurrected Star Lord / Peter Quill putting a Buckaroo Bonzai soundtrack cassette tape into a player synced with ALL the speakers in the area.... & Cap and Tony " trading " off leading everyone... etc....
