Last weekend we went to Brooklyn, NY to mudlark in Dead Horse Bay which is home to a turn of the century landfill and horse processing facility. More than a hundred years in between now and then has washed away a lot of the nastiness and things like glass and ceramics are left behind. Here's some of what we found.

Welcome! Thanks for subscribing. And yeah super cool place, never know what you’ll come across. All I know is to wear the thickest boots I have. So much glass!

It would be nice to see you haul when you have washed up everything at home and telk us abit about the item and what you are going to do with it. If you make jewellery, it would be awesome to watch to you a pottery shard or glass into jewellery. Great place out there to hunt for treasures. 🎉

the Helena Rubenstein jar depending on age could be a hell of a find, her name is synonymous with cosmetics and the line goes back to about 1900. its probably a facial cream jar and it could be up to 100 years old.(though the lid didn't appear to be tin so it may be newer, still a great find that a niche collector may be interested in.

Happy to show it off! If you go, wear good boots! Also technically the beach is closed to the public due to hazardous material. But there’s always people going. So there’s some risk.

Thanks so much for popping in and subscribing! You made my day! I totally recommend this hobby. It requires nothing but looking down and observing your immediate environment. Easiest hobby in the world. Figuring out what you’ve found is the next part of the fun! :D

You need to come to the river with me in Central VA. I’ll show you how it can be done at a whole other level, with a little bit of snorkeling and diving thrown in. :D

You're a lucky duck! I haven't found a poison bottle yet or a stopper. But odds are that I will eventually stumble upon one. And marbles are awesome!
