So sorry for your loss. My dad won't speak to me. We havent had a relationship in about 9 years. Aside from seeing him for a short time after my daughter was born in 2016. Him and my step mom dont even ask to see my daughter anymore. They havent asked for her in 3 years. My dad will be 60 in May. So he's getting older. Makes me sad. Cause my whole life he and I were really close.

First of all i respect everyones opinion. I personally do not believe in god and people ask me "what happens when we die?" Let me put it this way. Do you remmember what was going on when you werent born? Do you remmember knowing you were going to be alive? And no i have not died before as much as i know but even if i have i dont remember anything which means my previous life (im not saying there was one) was useless to me living in this life.

Some of you may think religion is stupid. All though you may not believe in it you should at least respect it. Life is tough and for a lot of people religion helps people through a lot. I’m not asking you to believe in it but please respect it. If someone’s not asking you to believe in it then there’s no need to go destroying their faith.

Strawberry Waffles I agree. Now the only issue is some people’s beliefs can impede on someone else happiness or even rights. Wether it’s some Christians beliefs on homosexuality or orthodox Muslims beliefs on the rest of the western world there are clashes in our society that cause people to want to degrade another’s beliefs.

This is why there are so many atheists that believe that religious people are ignorant fools, because all they see are people that blindly believe what they believe but never question that belief. Just as a side note, I am more of an agnostic than an atheist.

The closest thing it has to affecting people is the U.S. laws that were made in the idea of the bible or people on the street preaching. Other than those it doesn't affect you in anyway.
