If things don't start to turn around within the next two years, I'm going to just have to compromise a lot and move back across the bridge into PG County. I've been set in stone on making Alexandria, FFX, or Arlington my home since I moved out here two years ago, but man as a prospective first time home buyer it's so tough over here. Townhomes are expensive, even condos are expensive.

I feel that. I just bought a townhouse in Springfield in November for $413 with 4k subsidy. I only have around $1300 or so leftover after all bills, savings, and extra mortgage payment. Not terrible, but certainly not great😅. Love the area I'm in tho, definitely worth it!

I live in Burke. I sold a 2nd property Condo in old town Manassas last summer when my mom moved in with us. Even then I got more than asking.
