I love the fact you don't hide or sugar coat the mistakes, hunting is everything but perfect, all hunters regardless the weapon of choice made mistakes, if someone here said they never had screwed up in a hunt, well buddy you haven't hunt long enough, is not if one day you would screw it is how bad would be, this is the second video I watch from you, I love your simplicity and the fact you show the hunt the way it is, you have new subscriber here.

I understand your shot completely you shoot a fixed blade head I do also I know my Broadhead and arrow will blow through a bucks shoulder. This year hunting public I let a beautiful wide heavy 8pt get away. My fault I let him walk by to get that quartering away shot. The wind I thought was perfect swirled enough he caught my scent and he whirled so fast left me still holding my bow at full draw. You have some awesome videos keep up the good work.

As a deer hunter for over 37 years I have shot one deer straight forward like that and that was over 30 year ago. I learned my lesson then and ain't never done it since especially with a bow I will take that shot with a gun or muzzleloader any day but with a bow any bowhunter should know that shot is the worst shot you can possibly make I'm not saying that it won't work sometimes if a person gets lucky with a shot and hits vitals but as a bowhunter should know never take that shot I know that people would disagree with me I don't care but deer deserves better than that you owe it as a hunter to the animals to make the most humane and quick kill you possibly can so many deer does from bad shots especially with a bow every year and I am a bowhunter and I have lost my share of deer so I know how it feels but I also have learned my lesson on the shots I will not take no matter how big the deer is I just think this man should to if he is trying to teach the other novice hunters on how to hunt and harvest deer.

Them Ole'bucks are pretty tricky! I bet he's in some small depression or under a log somewhere. Someone local will find him, well his skeleton. I'd ask the adjoining Landowner next chance ya get. If he's honest he'll probably admit he found him. I mean he probably doesn't know how exactly he met his end . I've seen a guy kill a 190's buck couldn't find it anywhere then a friend seen where some guy posted pictures of a buck that looked real similar. Guy found out where he lived, asked him about it and the guy gave it to him. So ya never know. Goodluck!

This is the second video that I've seen this guy take low-percentage shots. Both times he wounded the deer and the deer got away. Both times people in the comments section saying that we all make mistakes blah blah blah. I can understand that for the first time. But when it becomes a pattern, it's not everybody makes mistakes, its he needs to really stop and think about what he is doing. It's not always about the kill. Yeah, you definitely could have killed the deer with that shot but it is not a high percentage shot. And if it's not a high percentage shot, you need to let the deer walk. I can understand, kinda. You have all these tags from all these states with limited time in each. It's high pressure. But even so, you need to be a steward of the woods and do what is right. Even if that means you leave without a deer. I'm not ragging on you brother. Just trying to get you to slow down and do what is right for the deer.

Hell I've took all kinds of low percentage shots some wall hangers to prove it and you know what some of those low-percentage shots I took where the only way I was going to kill them deer that shot wasn't a very low percentage shot in my mind and to be truthful and that deers dead and it's not too far away from where you shot it guaranteed if you ask me he should have spent another day searching for it or maybe even got a dog sometimes people don't realize how good them damn deer are at hiding low crawl up under the blow down or something and die most likely it went into the river circle around went to the river

Why would you ever make a front angle shot whan the deer was coming towards you ? Why would you evrr show this video to anyone? Next time wait for a better angle or just pass and ley him walk away to live & grow older.
