@@AmateurRedneckWorkshop That's cool. My interests are not limited to guns. What else do you make? I haven't actually gone to a steel challenge match, but I have done similar. The IDPA qualifier is a lot like steel challenge, plus walking backward, IIRC.

I still want something press mounted which shunts the pellets directly into the works with a pleasant "snick" sound. Might be too much to ask though.

@@EagleEyeShooting You've convinced me to give that whole setup a try, anyway. Though I think I want to do one of thos 3d printed bullet feeders for the supply. First though, I am getting a 45 ACP shell plate for the ABLP. I need to see how it does with large rifle. I made my father in law some .357 on the ABLP for Christmas, and it kind of solidified my prior experiences with that. It's about time for the mid term review video on that. The process would have taken me about 1/4 the time on my LM, and at this point I can't blame that on me being new to the system.
@EagleEyeShooting
@EagleEyeShooting 5 жыл бұрын
I'm going to do a video on case prep and loading precision with the ABLP really soon. Finding my time spent has dramatically decreased when breaking down the shoulder bump die and the lee collet die directly 180 behind it even out the shell plate twist.

I do actually appreciate critical comments, so long as they have more meaningful input than, "this sucks Fagoottt". It seems to be the rule, that if I put a lot of work into lighting, sound, editing, visuals and script, then it is so niche that no one will watch for a year or two. However, if I wing it and do a crummy production value video off the cuff, then it will get thousands of views with people complaining about audio quality and me rambling. And they are not wrong. It just gets me down.

GunFun ZS don’t let it get you down, Brother! I make videos for fun. If it stops being fun, I’ll stop doing it. Life’s too short and time is too valuable. I love your work. You bring the information from an angle I rarely see. I’m still using your lead hardness with the artist pencils idea. I’ve shared it, too. Keep the good videos coming, man.

@@jh5869 The idea wasn't mine. I just took it to a new crowd. I heartily agree, but fortunately, I enjoy making videos, because I like: sharing ideas, problem solving, collarborating, learning from my commenters, and also kinda the process of video production. Most of them are solving a problem I had, or that I get asked about frequently.

I wouldn't say that's flattering but that's the first time I've heard that. Good luck with your loads. PS know the cheap Federal bulk pack shells have plastic baseboards and they're probably worth using so that would be a good source of buckshot hulls.

GunFun ZS I’ll give that a shot. As is, I’ve got bags full of Remington and Winchester shells that I have accumulated. Got Hornandy 00, Longshot and Unique powder (and several others on the shelf that I normally use for handgun or rifle reloading). CCI primers. I’m just waiting for some Remington RXP12 wads to come in next week. Btw, I mean’t absolutely no offense by that Garfield remark. He had a cool voice and a witty sense of humor. So much so that I wondered if you weren’t the voice actor (Lorenzo Music) until I looked it up and found he passed away in 2001.

@@classicgunstoday1972 you will find Longshot to be the most useful of those for buckshot. Buckshot tends to fit better in straight wall hulls, though i do like the rem STS... Win AA are difficult to make a load worth having fit without a buckle forming 1/2 inch up from the base. I dedicate the Winchester hulls to trap loads. for that matter of federal wads are better suited to the high velocity heavy pressure because of their stronger column.
@GunFunZS
@GunFunZS 4 жыл бұрын
Addendum I do like the rxp 12 wads but they've got some little ribs on the inside of the shot cup. You will find that some combinations of buckshot will stack nicely in them and some just won't. Remington Field grade buckshot is the most cost-effective but it is not round and is almost always slightly under-sized. You can use the fact that it is slightly undersized to make some stax fit that would not fit with full diameter shot.
