Omg i LOVED this performance. This is my first reaction/analysis/deep dive to a Budakhel performance. It’s such a lovely arrangement, their voices are beautiful. Loved everyone’s warm, airy timbre, and the beautiful moments of both unison and harmonies. The men here in Budakhel have clearly been singing together for a long time as they’re super tight and move very closely together. Really enjoyed this one & hope to do more!
I am a jazz/R&B vocalist, baritone saxophone player, music educator, and vocal coach local to New Orleans. I have two degrees in jazz/music education and work professionally playing music. Thank you for all the support on these videos! It is such a joy to create educational, entertaining content for you. Because you obviously know your jazz standards, I highly recommend Gary Valenciano singing Spain. It's on the Wishbus. He really does Chick Corea and Al Jarreau proud.

Jason Steele's take on "It's so Hard to say Goodbye to Yesterday" of Boyz 2 Men or maybe Michael Pangilinan's take on "Rainbow" of South Border (South Border is a Filipino pop and R&B band formed in the early 1990s who gained widespread recognition in the music scene in the mid 1990s to the 2000s.) These guys…I’m such a fan! Together they are really music to the ear, with their exquisite harmonies. And yes, they are really easy on the eyes 😍. It's incredible how trained professional musicians like you can instantly absorb those fast musical moments and slow them down in your head enough to identify - even the nuance of - each note. Amazing. Another insightful breakdown, I really enjoyed it. Great singing demonstrations of the pentatonic scale and legato vs accentuated singing. It feels like you're giving out singing lessons for free, lol! How are your injuries? Skin, vocal folds... Hopefully better.

I have seen this a few times .. i think its dope when you jump in after the " beautiful ascending run " by Darryl Ong lol but it was .. wasn't It . Those guys are so sick .. and its dope they linked up .. Im a fan of the choices you made when you joined them .. they were sick!

Really enjoyed your analysis. It’s actually what us non-musicians (who love R&B-inflected singing) hear but don’t have the training nor education to put into words. Anyway, salamat! (Btw, tatted singer is Khel, née Michael).

Improvements for you! One thing I recommend, be careful with painkillers because they are addictive, be careful with this! I don't know how they allow these painkillers that make people addicted.

You’re so right about that I stopped taking the painkillers as soon as I could. They’re scary!!!
