Ah, this music is in my soul. My bubbe's radio played this all day while she was in the kitchen cooking. I can see how it bridges cultures, but I'm claiming it as my own.

Through the violent oppression commited against us jews it is inevitable that there were indeed some jews who rather than be murdered converted to church denominations or Islam.So yes there are today none jewish people who have jewish ancestry.But of course even completely none jewish people can and do love klezmer.Fidler on the Roof was a deeply very jewish production but very many none jews loved that also.
@user-yz8pw9dv2n7 ай бұрын
@@Guy77ishI am jewish and live in London.There are many ways you can study in many parts of the UK about jewish history and about Judaism.I do wish you well in doing so.Solomans is certainly an unusual family name for none jewish people.Have you ever spoken to your nearest rabbi.

Please, keep on playing this beautiful music of my ancestors. God bless you all! From Gyorgyi in the USA.

Love this Klezmer music, especially when the clarinet leads. The music is so emotional, it feels like the music is telling a haunting story. It sounds so sad, the Jewish history is very sad, for years and all over the world they've been persecuted. They are a strong people and I wish them safe and happy times for the future.. Shalom.

@@user-yz8pw9dv2n Thankyou for your words. I worked in Krakow from 1998 -2000 and visited the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz many times and listened to live Klezme music and tasted traditional polish foods with a Jewish twist. I was astounded at the numbers of houses and properties obviously left vacant for many years. I was told these were owned by Jewish residents sent to the Krokow ghetto and then off to a concentration camp and never heard of again. Years later relatives suffered added insult to their devastating loss unable to even gain admission to these houses to recover family possessions as they had no proof of ownership. They remained abandoned for 55 years, some demolished due to unsafe condition. I also visited Auschwitz on a number of occasions with visitors of mine, I can't begin to describe how heart breaking that experience had on me. God Bless you and yours my online friend
