In a world where there is so much conflict and disharmony - between governments, between religions, between co-workers, between family members and even in our own minds - there is a deep yearning for peace and harmony in the world. Ajahn Brahm uses this talk to highlight the topic of harmony and how to create it in our world, and within ourselves.

If the analogy to the two brinks resonates with you, and you are of a literary persuasion, try reading Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Birthmark." Blessings to All!

How can you see value in someone who murders the innocent for fun? ie. hunters, meat eaters, fur wearers etc.

If someone we're causing me suffering, I could forgive them. But this is about causing the suffering of others, and that suffering isn't mine to forgive. I can't ask an animal to forgive their torturer, for one they don't speak english, and it feels wrong to ask that of them anyway.
