為什麼要念佛 但凡不是聖人，只要起心動念，就會造業。無量劫以來，我們造過的罪業無量無邊，可以這說：我們都是“罪人”。但是，別怕！ 佛說過“念佛一聲，罪滅河沙”，你有再大的罪業，只要念佛，那就有救！由此可見，念佛功德無量。 為什麼要念佛？有人說，念佛就是為了往生，這本是沒錯，是最大的功德，也是我們的目標。不過，除了求生極樂，乃至於今生今世，只要念佛，就能獲得功德利益。 下面，將念佛的“現世利益”列舉一二： 晝夜常得諸天大力神將，並諸眷屬，隱形守護。 常得二十五大菩薩，如觀世音等，及一切菩薩，常隨守護。 常為諸佛晝夜護念，阿彌陀佛常放光明攝受此人。 一切惡鬼若夜叉羅刹皆不能害，一切毒蛇毒龍毒藥悉不能害。 一切火難、水難、冤賊、刀箭牢獄、杻械橫死、枉死，悉皆不受。 先所作罪，皆悉消滅，所殺冤命，彼蒙解脫，更無執對。 夜夢正直，或複夢見阿彌陀佛，勝妙色像。 心常歡喜，顏色光澤，氣力充盛，所作吉利。 常為一切世間人民所恭敬供養，歡喜禮拜，猶如敬佛。 命終之時，心無怖畏正念現前，得見阿彌陀佛，及諸菩薩聖眾，手持金台，接引往生西方淨土。盡未來際，受勝妙樂。 念佛的威力就是這麼大！所以我常說：世間最珍貴的音聲，莫過一句“南無阿彌陀佛”！ 念佛功德，不可思議 請常念南無阿彌陀佛，一切重罪悉解脫！南无阿弥陀佛 Constantly chant : Namo Amitabha, Repentance and Dedication of Merits.
