Hi WE are doing a documentary on Buddy and I was wondering if you might have the original source material for this video in a higher quality ? thanks
@stephenvincent4989
The first time I saw Buddy was in the early 60’s at “The Talk of The Town” Leicester Square London. His hip approach to lyrics was truly special combined with his excellent musicianship on the ivories . As an aside the regular cabaret included Lynda Baron far before she was a regular on tv in such programmes as Open all Hours with the late great Ronnie Barker.

Wow, this is so great to have this entire show available on You Tube. The only way to see this type of fabulous entertainment. Long live Buddy.

Pure show biz and great music. We wont see this ever again.
Variety shows at the time were so simple...Minimum sets, moody lighting, and some fearless camera movement...Plus some dynamite talent...Buddy is a prime example of a swingin' TV show...

There is absolutely no way that this could have been taped or aired any earlier than the spring of 1966. In October of 1965 (when the IMDb says this program aired), neither "Wild Thing" or "Daydream" had yet been released.

Never heard Frankie Avalon like that before, the next generation being appreciated what you could almost describe as a mentor, but don't think he actually technically was, in the same way that Darin was a mentor to Newton, R.I.P Buddy
