Stumbled upon this song, not Native American, but a black/white American. Regardless, when he sings in his native tongue, it makes me want to cry. So much passion. Equal parts love and pain.

It was a pretty special year when I got this album. I hear many voices here saying they missed home. I guess I do too.I want to thank the Lakota people for hosting me and helping me on my journey. That was the beginning of an adventure that is still going decades later. It certianly made my life more rich if not bittersweet to have made the journey to meet my people. I will never forget any of you and the music we all shared was pretty cool eh? This is Good Medicine eh?

That song is so beautiful. It is truly a shame that he never made it to a wider audience.
