Quite a few have reach out to me regarding the Suzuki Samurai. Impressed with how well it flexes with lift springs. This video is a walk around showing what was done to the rig as it sits now. Hey. Do you know how I could score a hi-steer or Z-Bar for my Red 91'? Im on a tight budget and cant afford extra goodies but I just need that to complete my SPO lift. Any tips would be appreciated! Trade a bunch of skateboards and stuff thats about it! I binge watch your channel and also Dig The Rig videos are rad!

Tire and Wheel type and size?? Good video, always enjoy seeing a good low budget rig that just works.

Thanks bud. I am running Swamper TSL Bias. Dont get the radials if its a mostly for trail use. They are 33x12.50 and the wheels are 15x8 American racing from the 90's. I typically have the tires set to 6.5 PSI

It looks like he did a leaf over axle conversion Suzuki samurai come from the factory with the leaf spring under the axle by switching it to the top it gives you a lift maintains geometry and you can use the original front end parts

When doing a SPOA do you happen to know what size strut you should use? I recently bought a 87 LWB Sammy and they have the original struts on the SPOA which has made the ride horrible. I bottom out on a stone. Getting maybe an inch of travel lol.

I like it. Howcome you put the intake on the hotter exhaust side of the engine? Also, I have a Drop Pitman and wondering if that is enough to handle the hi-steer with a SPO lift? Or would I have to get a hi-steer bar for not too crazy wheeling..?

Its how I got the samurai and it didnt really effect it so didn't bother changing it. It depends on your springs as well but I needed both with my setup.

After watching this I kinda wish I would have bought another Samurai instead of a Sidekick. But I just couldn’t find anything worth a damn with OEM fuel injection that wasn’t beat or carburetor converted.

They have gone up in price so much too that it’s hard to justify
