Budget Hood Light Install - 3rd Gen Tacoma Build Part 11

Күн бұрынI found a SUPER BRIGHT LED underhood light kit on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. This was a pretty simple install and anyone can do this. I think it's a great addition and will come in clutch for those times I may need to take a look under the hood at night.

Has it done wel with the heat of the engine ?

No issues at all with the heat. Once in a while I may have to wiggle the switch for the light to come on but I think that's due to the vibration. I think it just needs to be retightened with tools. Thanks for watching!

Why did trucks stop putting lights under the hood. I do believe one of the generations of the POS dodge ram had a light. But it sucked, because it was too dim. For as much as these vehicles cost, they should come with engine bay lighting. That hood switch housing is garbage. But for what you paid for it, it's understandable. Nice truck though!

Thanks man! I agree. I think hood lights should be a standard thing. Yeah, it would be nice to have a better switch. The metal on the connection was so thin!
