As Derick said, these were a small run that was never publicly offered. I cannot stress this enough, these amplifiers do not represent the standards of Tru, thus they were never sold. Also, the Tru amplifiers listed on Amazon are through woofersetc who is not authorized for Tru Technologies. Check Tru's website to see who is currently authorized to sell their products before making a purchase.

I admire that the R&D team had the guts to put quality over making a quick buck and shut down this terrible plan. Tru Billet and Tungsten are masterpieces and you can really tell the people who design them have a true passion for music. Yes it's expensive to make amps in the USA with high end components but if you love music, you dont cut any corners. Tru is one of the ONLY companies that doesnt cut corners and I admire that!

TRU should make a subbrand (called Almost Tru) and sell these amps under that flag. Most manufacturers do that. Some people need decent setup for low price and the market is not saturated there yet. You cannot make fortune on Veyrons, but you can earn money on Volkswagen Passat sales and have premium brand for millionares.
@lock3ddown8833 жыл бұрын
I'd love to see you add in an ultracap bank to your setup (if you don't already have one and i just missed it). I dropped in a d4s 500farad cap bank into my system recently and holy cow the voltage stability it amazing. I'm running a skar rp2000.d at 1ohm with stock wet cell battery and upgraded alt to a 220amp vs the stock 105 and of course 1/0 big 4 upgrade.. about at my limit till i add a 2nd battery. I had brief light dim/flicker till the alternator could catch up to the demand or during dynamic bursts . Now i have absolutely zero dimming at any volume. Even dramatically helped with my low voltage at low rpm issue. My voltage would drop into the 12s when coming to a stop and the cap bank is taking the load now. Incredible and would say 100% worth it. Waiting for my lifep04 cells and overdrive pulley ( to properly fix low voltage at idle issue) then will add a 2nd rp2000.d :) .. love the content, keep up the great work.

@@Llegando_Tarde … wave the Chinese flag all you want, I will continue to wave the red white and blue. I would estimate 85% of all the amps are made in Asia, Mostly China, some Korea. The rest divided Europe, Brazil and the USA. There are only a handful of American ( some Mmats, Linear Power, D’Amore ( I think they introduced a cheap Chinese line..for shame)and TRU. There are many that are designed by Americans, and built to spec in China. (Rockford,Kicker and Audio Control to name a few) And they are fine, but as I said, a dime a dozen, and not “ special “ like TRU or Linear Power. This may sound hypocritical, but I buy German ( Helix amps DSP, Microprecission speakers). They integrate better in my German automobiles. It is because of all that you listed that I resist buying Chinese products when possible. Those little stickers on the back of amps are not legal. A manufacturer can not void your warranty for removing those stickers. This is because of the The MAGNUSON-MOSS Warranty Act. Technically the AG could take action against them for putting those stickers there they just don’t and unfortunately the consumers are the ones who suffer accepting refusals over a silly sticker that could come off for many different reasons lol!

imho even if this amplifier doesn't represent the actual standard of TRU, they still completely overprice their amplifiers. It's 2021, fully clean 1000w rms at 1ohm is entirely possible at $200-$300. the only thing i see this amplifier capitalizing on is efficiency, and even then 4ohm and 2ohm efficiency standards are rewriting themselves as we speak.

@JasonWW20002 жыл бұрын
Its easier to manufacture larger terminals. If it were truly small it would be harder to thread the hole and you'd have to stock an extra part (the threaded stud. Plus it would be hard to find a tiny enough allen wrench to tighten it.

These seem to be made in the same build house as some of the nemesis Audio amps. The beginning of the end, another one bites the dust.I have seen this story before.Another American company sells out to cheap Chinese labor. They should call these amps "UnTru". If I want a Chinese amp, I will buy a Boss from Walmart. They work fine, and you can buy one for $100, you could even scribble out where it says Boss, and write "TRU" with a sharpie.I have never bought a TRU amp, nor ever will I....I feel sick. TRU can build a cheaper amp here in the USA, maybe not as cheap as the Chinese can, but they can employ Americans, and maintain integrity.Very disappointed.

Uh, the amps in this video are failed prototypes. Tru Technology refused to release them. To my knowledge all Tru products are still hand built in CA, USA. They are a small, family owned company and produce amazing, custom hand built amplifiers. You're jumping to conclusions that aren't supported by facts.

@@msh6865 yeah, I did jump to conclusions.Perhaps I overreacted. I should watch entire video before I post. I am glad to see TRU is continuing to make over the top ,extreme high quality here in the USA… I stand corrected .

@@raymo6795 no problem, it happens. I completely understand your position on Chinese-made electronics. Impossible for me to support products made in a country that imprisons millions of its own people, engages in corporate espionage and of course has gifted the world with the Covid virus.

@@msh6865 agreed. As a youth we had PPI, Zapco, Soundstream, Rockford,MTX, PG,MTX, Xtant,Kicker, US amps,hell even Pioneer was made in America. One by one they all succumbed to the cheap slave labor of Communist China . It’s a shame that so often we have no choice but to buy Asian made products (IPhone). Tru is not only American, but Americana. If they are not made in America, they are not a TRU amp. Cheers brother

@@msh6865 We don't know the source of Covid. Even if it done originate in China you can't blame a whole country. Thats idiotic. You also can't blame people for trying to make money and provide for their family just because they live in a communist country. You also can't blame the citizens if their military spies. All militaries do that, even the US. So stop trying to place blame and open your eyes. People are all the same regardless of what country they were born in.
