Bud, thanks for sharing your great videos. Have enjoyed you, your family and friends Jeeping and snow catting adventures. Have been watching for years, keep up the outstanding videos and fun outings. I been Jeeping for years, Jeeped the Rubicon many times and other beautiful area around Lake Tahoe, Donner Summit, Plumas and Tahoe National Forest. Thanks again.

I was supposed to work tonight. I70 at Vail 2 feet plus of fresh snow expected. So here I am. Watching the best snowcat channel on KZfaq. The value and desire of a snowcat just went upward.

Bud, I grew up in the Adirondacks....your footage takes me back to my own back country explorations I took as a younger man. To be in massive snow, where it is so quite and remote that you can hear the flakes go THUMP when they land, to be high up on a peak soaking up God's beauty that has been lain before me....I shared your excitement to the point where I too just had to shout out in the wilderness in celebration, but also partially in defiance of my own mortality and insignificance in the vast spectrum of nature. Man I love these trips, so pardon my romanticism as crudely attempt to wax poetically :)

Funkinflugen I too am now doing this in my life not at this very time obviously but I also share the exact same joy any feelings when I do this. I literally owe a huge part of my new lease on life to this man BudNixon I am a 31 year old man ,Sarah just the wife's name, but back on track I owe him alot started watching his videos back in 2015 when I was beating stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma and I got back into building hard core jeeps and going snow wheeling towards the end of my treatment. Going out there and being in the middle of Gods great gift to humanity I believe it literally was part of what helped me get through treatment and helped heal my soul. So in short I know the depth of satisfaction the videos like this one give. Also I have let him know what a profound difference he has made in at leadt one life now I know it's at least two and most likely many more. You take care and I hope you may once more get to go out there and enjoy that feeling again if you do be safe well!

Gorgeous, reminds me of Ukraine after a blizzard!! I need to buy a snow cat. That ability to get to such remote places in such weather conditions, no Jeep can match.

I was just checking out a Sno-Cat with a bucket lift for 35k. Not bad if you have a use for the man lift 👍 I thought they were more expensive. If I lived out West , you better believe I would buy one 👍 Great video Bud 👍

Nixon, suggestion for a loop trip Into Olallie, then South the way you went but continue on to Breitenbush Lake and have some crazy bugger (like me) shuttle your trailer to pick you up. Or if the snow level is low enough get back to your trailer via the road along Clackamas River.

I go where/when I know conditions are right and worth the hassle. I try to stay away from breaking trail in certain areas where at a later time it might give 4x4 drivers ideas to follow through into same area by same path..... I really dont have any interest in completing the loop all together as lakes are my general goal/destination. I've thought about just taking the powerlines down to Breitenbush area and then return through the north side of the loop, this way trailer can just stage in one area and I dont get to be in same scenery all the time :)

by now you should know how Cascades are in the winter, on/off like a light switch; thats why I said I'll be out there with every good storm, otherwise I got better things to do :)

@altair Well, one is to make their own call on what they are willing to deal with; thats a topic I dont care to advice on or talk about, as we are all different and neither I or another can deal with a situation in a similar manner. Too many "built" a 4x4 like mine but cant do same thing, no matter what you say or explain. Each needs to find their own "limit" by exploring out on their own in whatever way they feel comfortable.
