It's called 'Vegeta (Second Form)' because it's Vegeta's second body. Remember, he was given another body in the Buu Saga. The reason Goku doesn't have that tag is because he is given his original body back whenever he was brought back

also to note the lighting on some sequences are completely different from the first trailer, so that means that the game could look even better when it launches or when we got another trailer, which is honestly amazing, because i think the shadows are really not there yet in some shots

The camera work is also slightly rough, especially when SSJ Namek Goku did the Meteor Crash it's clear it'll be more polished by the time the game actually comes out

They're probably doing that for two reasons: Nostalgia-based hype and the fact that the VAs have yet to record new lines for the game. Even if they can't find the time, there are plenty of other games to pull audio lines from.

6:39 I bet it's a counter super attack. They were a thing added in the raging blast series. You use them, start a pose and during it's duration, if you get hit by any non-energy attack, a cinematic super plays out. They were useful because they cannot be blocked or teleported out of, but were balanced due to the low range and inability to block or teleport yourself during the duration. They were a good addition back then. You could pretend to fail a combo and leave a gap and use one to bait the enemy to attack you.

The effect was too small for that, I assume the god bind is a utility attack like the psychokinesis from freeza or the kaikosen from piccolo.

God Bind almost looks like it acts in a similar way to Mystic Breath canceling out super attacks, 6:37 looks like it was intended to show a well timed cancel move to a rush attack. They could be trying to incorporate some new utility skills to had more variety in play styles.

The very first combo was like a food critic from Ratatouille moment for me. It was just like I remembered from childhood, but modern and gorgeous. Been seeing a lot of people hard on this game for some issues seen in the trailers but that’s why there’s no release date yet and hopefully we don’t get it til this game is close to being ready. That being said, this game already feels special. I can’t wait for it bless our computers and consoles.

I remember playing all the budokai games as a kid and a teen with my brother and it was probably the best bonding experience i had with him and now we are both fully grown up adults and cant wait for the game to release to experience those old memories but with modern DBZ. Hopefully a lot of people have a similar story to this.

Broly's move gigantic hammer is actually a counter attack not just a timing attack meaning that even if the opposition is rushing to you rather than just standing still, you would still be able to pull that move off, but if you only catch him with it before he does his combo

6:14 I remember in Tenkaichi 1 or 2 when both players mashed normal attacks they would clash like in this part of the video and then both players had the otion to teleport behind, counter, block or use a strong attack. Kinda like a rock paper scisors but super fast paced and you needed high reflexes to see it coming.

Seeing how you discovered the hidden features of solar flare earlier and how it was not just a stun and lock off but could also cancel oncoming supers and ultimates, I feel god bind will have similar mechanics to that of solar flare, like an alternative evasive or more a parry with to punish aggressive players and immobilize them for a bit

It looks like the hair is animated separately to the body of the characters, to allow for such flowey physics, and are mapped to follow the head's movements and rotations

One thing i hope they get right is the great feel of actual impact, on tenkaichi 3 the sound effects made it feel that each and every attack counted, like there was a lot of weight behind each punch, specially the charged ones, it was super satisfying

My assumption for God Bind is that it's a skill like psychokinesis that's pretty active (like can hit even really late) and paralyzes the opponent. Depending on the rush super, you could even interrupt them with well timed basic attacks which is something I really hope they keep. Not only that, but the sheer amount of explosions reminded me of those Ultimate Tenkaichi map destructions, and if this is really going to revive the best of the franchise then I wouldn't be surprised if some mechanics were taken from literally every game like Raging Blast customization and like you said, BT2 quad direction blocking. All I know is that I'm very ready for this game.

Another thing I noticed is that some of the animations look incomplete. Like when Goku and Vegeta strike their iconic poses at the beginning of the trailer, Goku’s hair isn’t flowing in the wind like vegeta’s. I also think they’re reusing some voice lines in the trailer because I caught Goku yell “KO ken” and not “kaioken”. I’m still pretty excited for the game, but they for sure need more time

Throwback to when you talked about Uub's ki blasts in bt3, the reason they could be thrown sideways is probably because uub has a move called cyclone stream where if the ki blasts miss, they can circle around and group up to form a bigger ki blast (DBL has it as Majuub's ultimate move)

I see a lot of things in the game and hope also another things like from Tag Tenkaichi and Ragin Blast are added too! Like changing moves, Vegeta SSJ3, 2 vs 2 simultaneously, slapping kii non piercing attacks to a side, etc

The character splits further deconfirms customisable movesets which Raging Blast introduced( one of the few good concepts in that franchise).

Goku’s god bind attack reminds me of the counters mainly the villains have. Like freeza where he holds you in place

HOW IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT HOW BLUE KAIOKEN WAS IN RHE SPIRIT BOMB CLASH POSE WITH JIREN. THAT SPIRIT BOMB ALLOWED HIM TO GO UI! I THINK UI MIGHT BE PUT IN THE GAME FELLAS!!!

I just hope that these characters are more varied than they were in the previous 3D games. Aside from specific moves, most characters played nearly identically to each other. I'd love to see more unique mechanics, like Bergamo growing larger as he takes damage, or Roshi's flight being linked to Baby Gamera or using Kamehamehas to push himself through the air.
