Great to be back in Buenos Aires, capital city of Argentina, 4 years since the last time. I was there for a week, so just a whistle-stop tour around some of the city's famous landmarks for now.

just a couple of observations: 1-Buenos Aires is called "Paris of America" and it's no coincidence: In mid-19th century, Paris was demolished and rebuilt as we know it today, shortly after Buenos Aires was also demolished and rebuilt in the image of Paris, with its architectural styles of that time: beaux arts/academicism-art nouveau/deco and with the layout of large boulevards/avenues/diagonals and proliferation of parks, like Paris Buenos Aires is the unique major "European" metropolis located outside of Europe and just London and Paris are on par with it in terms of urban beauty (+5M inhablitants metropolises) 2-Buenos Aires is the second safest capital in all of America (2.8 homicides/100K inhabitants) only behind Ottawa in Canada (1.1 homicide/100K), and unlike almost all the large metropolises in the world, its microcenter is very busy at night: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z9OVi8Klz9_Po58.html and u can take a walk as quietly as at daylight: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aJqIgbeQstHWhZc.html
