You're right about Quan Chi's pokes. They're his Achilles heel. I actually texted my son yesterday and told him that I had a word problem for him. I said, if Johnny Cage has a 9 frame mid, and Quan Chi has a Down 1 that has an 8 frame startup and is -10 on block, and Johnny Cage is +2, how fucked is Quan Chi when Cage gets close? And I actually think Quan Chi's down 1 is even slower than 8 frames.

@Super, when you knock the opponent down you should either jump over to reverse jump-in or jump away from them and possibly re-skydrop them. It's Quans only way to deal with pokes is to be airborn and get better frames. Plus, thanx for using Cyrex with Quan I've been interested in seeing that camio-combo.

I don't hate Quan, but this is literally 0/2 for me with dlc characters. I don't want characters that are op. But Jesus. He feels so bad to play most of the time. I love zoning but this is not the game for it. I really hope they don't fuck up Peacemaker. Hoping Chameleon is fun as well. I actually like the kameos more than main characters right now lol

why did they take away meter for wake-ups?? in MK11 it cost meter to pop up & do a move. now they can just wake up & press buttons EVERY time they get knocked down.

Worse matchup is with Raiden/Kano, he can loop F2/242xxStormCellxxKano Ball and be +10 on block. THERE IS NOTHING QUAN CAN DO if the Raiden does his next move after Kano Ball in 3 frames, can't even Armor Reversal. Raiden's slowest move his F2 a 17f mid is 7f after Kano Ball +10 on block and guess what you can slightly delay Kano ball to make it +20, it makes a Armor GAP but if Quan guesses wrong he is opened up for full combo or 50/50. Quans D1 is 8f(-10ob), D3 is 11f(-7ob), D4 is 13f startup (-6ob) Storm Cell does 12% chip and 3% if you flawless block the beginning of Storm Cell every time which is hard because every different string has different timings, lets say your Ninjakilla and do it every time, it's gonna kill you little by little and they build full meter. Quan can't poke after Kano Ball and if he does next turn late after +10 (Raiden has 3 frame window to jail) you can armor but if he does next move in 3f you can't Armor. But Sky Drop (EXBF4) is wonky and can land behind Raiden and be punished as well as tons of moves knock him out of sky and on way up. Storm Cell completely counters it. Quans EXDB3 Hold F+3+Block doesn't work vs several of Raiden's moves: S4xxEXDF2 S4 IA BF3 Storm Cell pulls Quan through Gravity Portal and ignores the gravity completely putting Quan back into +10 Storm Cell loop. Several other characters completely ignore Quans EXDB3! It's also super trash if you use it to corner trap opponent. They float through it putting you in corner, it's weird. But that doesn't matter if you cant even poke!!! Quan needs a 7f D1 that's -8 on block and reduce D1 range to compensate for the changes. Maybe fix BF4/EXDB3 glitches/problems where it doesn't function like Kombat Kast explained. It would be cool if they made EXDB4 only 1Bar for launch. Then just keep all his other weaknesses in and I'm fine.

Mkx spoiled us we had trap characters cyrax, predator, etc damage buff characters, ferra torr, kano, kotal, jason fast characters kung lao, reptile, liu kang smooth moving characters devorah, quan chi, tremor pressure characters, teleporters ppl who would move all over the screen tanya, smoke takreda, mix masters, hard to blockables, zoners, ppl who excelled in the corner, vortex ppl like butcher, smoke cancel characters, command grab characters etc i mean the possibilities were endless look at the things u could do in this game reptile would slow the entire game! Jason could screw up your inputs!! liu kang could do a full screen 60% combo then u have this game slower pace no eye popping stuff just basically punching and kicking lazy nrs
