I absolutely love that Buffy gets all shy when he says he knows who SHE is. She is a total fan girl when she realizes he IS the one and only Count Dracula. Nicely done by Sarah Michelle Gellar here. She was SO good at never making Buffy a Mary Sue.

SMG pitches "Get out!" perfectly. I also get the distinct impression that Buffy would be totally fangirling if he wasn't a vampire. It's also worth noting that Dracula is the only vampire Buffy was unable to kill because he kept coming back no matter how many times he was staked.

I agree. I mean, the writers never really explored it, but even when she was with Tara, she noticed when guys were sexy. Of course, I also wondered if Xander was bisexual as well. Sometimes he'd say things that would make me wonder.

You know it always annoyed me how they just made her gay, she was clearly bisexual, she loved Oz and at one point was very sexually attracted to xander and other guys, so? Maybe bisexuality was still more controversial back in those days.

Shannon Ross Some people act like bi-characters are half measures for a homophobic world and on the other side you have those who don’t believe in bisexuality(straight and gay alike). Both involve black and white thinking.

@@ryanm9105 Yea it's 'easier' in a dramatic sense to make them gay/straight. Bisexuality is pretty rare and trying to represent it can come across (especially back in the 90's) as a half measure.

@@thechris312 I can definitely agree with the climate of the 90s, but bisexuals are not nearly as rare as you'd think. They tend to have a preference(same sex or opposite sex), so they just stick to the easier label of gay or straight. I get it though; to this day they're are still people who think there is no such thing as bisexuals. The fact that some gays don't believe in bisexuality is both mind-blowing and incredibly insulting. I mention gays specifically, because you'd think they would be more open minded. I'm inclined to expect black and white thinking from a heteronormative society, but not from the lgbq sector. I'd imagine there are as many bisexuals as full blow homosexuals(10% of the population basically).

You've probably known for a long time, but I'll write this anyway so that others will immediately know the truth. Rudolph Martin first played Dracula in "Buffy". And after this cameo role, he was invited to the film immediately. His first appearance in "Buffy" was on September 26, 2000, and the film "The Dark Prince: The true Story of Dracula" was released on October 31, 2000.

I saw the movie first, because when this episode aired I was no longer living in the states, and didn't get to see the episodes I had missed till a couple years later. But when I moved and finally had cable installed, that was one of the first movies I saw on the now SYFY channel.

I've never seen this show (honestly), and I got hooked on Angel, when it was on WTBS, in the early am (AND back-to-back episodes!). Not only was that a great intro, but, it was running (unbeknownst to me) whilst the series was STILL airing. Towards the end), and if anyone reading this a fan and f that series, they'll understand when I say I cried - hard - when Fred died, and, again, during the 'return' of Fred during Wesley's death. Wowsers. Any- who, that's a lot of exposition to get to my actual point;I know S-M G-P (I never the ught of her name that way), and she's a very, very sweet, funny person. I enjoy spending time with her, and I can only only surmise she (and her husband, Fred) are really good parents Fred was so young when his dad passed away, but, I know her mother, 'R', and,well, all I'll say is she's a mother. You can interpret that ANYway you choose. Suffice it, S-M's a wonderful woman.

Same here and it’s also clear that he could be the immortal sinde he was a big famous author who wrote his book, became famous and was a arch enemy of angel and spike, plus darla and drusilla basically described him like no other normal vampire, and that saw somewhere that the immortal seduced them and including buffy which is what drac did, so he is basically dating buffy 🤣

This is my favorite Buffy episode because it shows how happy Buffy can be when she meets energy (Dracula) that gets her. That's why she's barely seems happy in most of the show because she's not always around the Dracula types but happy-go-lucky humans

Giles, being amused at Buffy's excitement over a celebrity-vamp knowing of her, and Willow & Xander's fangirl/boying ing over Count 'Famous' Dracula, lol! . I can't help but feel annoyed with Riley, here, though; being so pissy over one of the few aspects of her Slayerhood that actually is kinda lighthearted for once (and not because anyone took a mystical blow-torch to an actual heart, which I'm sure JW would've done if he'd thought about it, just to kill any remaining bits of optimism and joy in our souls). Besides, I feel certain Angel would've been jealous in a much funnier (to us), quippy-er manner.

After seeing angel, looking online and doing my research and fitting the clues togethar I think for now the immortal angel and spike are talking about that is dating buddy is actually Dracula since spike mentioned before that he was a enemy of him, and how pnline for Dracula it said he became famous like writing his own book about himself which is what the immortal did and the way in the tv show angel darla and drusilla described him had to be Dracula, plus it said somewhere the immortal seduced buffy which other than angel and spike, drac did that
