Cracking video, most of the wildcamping we do in the UK is stealth camping due to our laws, cool bag load out also, good health and safe travels, cheers craig

I have a friend who moved from the city to a rural area in Wisconsin with the thought of "getting away." That was about 5 yrs ago. Now, he said, you wouldn't believe how many city people are renting or trying to establish footing in his area. (no cell service in his area!) Many are claiming hardship of some kind and start off by going to a local church to "get to know" their kind neighbors. The net result is that he's seen those people taking advantage of the homesteaders already there. They look for sympathy and wind up being entwined within the once quiet community. Moral of the story: if you think you're going to "bug-out" to a remote location and be safe you're wrong. It will only be a matter of time until you're surrounded or infiltrated. They won't storm your property, they go in another way...

Someone needs a true rural area. My sister lived in rural Wisconsin, but you could see a farm in every direction. I have a spot (not in Wisconsin) with point five .5 people in a square mile. It has pheasants, quail, grouse, doves, geese, ducks, two types of rabbits, white tail and mule deer, antelope, elk, corn, wheat, beans the cattle out number people 50-1. I had a discussion with my boss, he said he was running to the mountains, Colorado has too high of a population to run to the Rockies. When I told him where I was going, he said why would anyone go there and I said exactly. Everyone East of the Missouri River is already doomed. The mountains are too obvious. Having a piece of property is no guarantee and movement is life ask anyone who has delt with a panicked population. I have worked with casualties from natural disasters with the Fed's. Any piece of property within 20 miles will be over ran, look at history and the German's running from the Soviets at the end of WWII the population took everything within a 20 mile radius of major roads. The Capitalist system is doomed and it is only a matter of time.

Liked the relaxing video. When I rebuilt my fishing tackel setup( am temporarily in rest home, adapt and overcome, am down to a backpack again) colapsable 8' rod and reel ( $26 Amazon) , basic tackel, red , green, wht 500 lunas adjustable brightness headlamp. (Walmart $25) Red head lamp a must. Liked red lamp idea. When I started camping used colapsable candle lantern , citrinella 8 hr candels and a pop can. Liked the power bank. Thank you for getting me out in the woods.love the crickets

I made my own bellow tube from a back scratcher. It's an extendable tube with a plastic hand on the end and the other end is coated with rubber or silicone or whatever. I removed the plastic hand and put a hole through the end of the rubber coating. Now it's a bellow for my fires.

I only use folding saws. For whatever reason, regarding how my muscles, tenants, etc are, I have a hard time trying to use other saws. And the only folding saws I use are Silky brand. I did have cheaper ones when I started and they don't cut near as good as the Silky saws.

Great video, and, to echo what others have said, it's nice to see gear in action. I'm a Glock man myself and carry everywhere I go. Stay strapped or get clapped.

I like the Princeton tec remix pro headlamp. I have bought a few of them, but I found it to be my favorite while I was active duty. Had one of the best red light modes i have seen. Used it a lot for night time land nav. It turns on red, but hold down and switches to white.

Glad the oppresive heat is finally starting to wane. Another month and I'll be breaking the hammock out. Just to hot, to many chiggers, to many mosquitoes, and to many venomous snakes and spiders in TN from May until late Sept usually. I usually always take my katydyn hiker pro. I do need a couple sawyers. Glad ya had a chance to get out there. My out there for now is limited to mushroom and plant foraging. I am so grateful we have thousands of acres of corp woodlands that borders our 100 acre farm. 10 minute walk out the door into the woods to a main river and backwaters.

I’m a bit late to this but I have a few observations if you’re interested. Firstly, my comments are based on a few assumptions so I may be wrong and I don’t mean them harshly. 1) You don’t say why you need to be stealthy it could range from just avoiding nosey neighbours up to the full on Mad Max teotwawki zombie holocaust. 2) you’re learning by doing 3) you want an interesting video 4) filming requires light unless you have night vision equipment so I get that you have some limitations. That said there wasn’t much that was stealthy imho. I would suggest you don’t go straight to where you want to camp, either walk in a box or a hook pattern so you end up in a position to see the route you have just walked. If you are being followed you can observe them and bug out in a different direction. I don’t think a hammock is the best option unless it’s much lower to the ground. Up at or near eye level is easy to see. Ideally it should be low profile, blend in with surroundings, not have a regular shape etc. Light, noise, smell and movement will give you away. Red light is less obvious at night but doesn’t make you invisible to others. Better to make camp, eat, drink, do admin when it’s light so when darkness comes it’s all done and you just stay still and sleep. If you do need light it should be way less that you were using. Put electrical tape over the lens and just have a pin prick so there is only a tiny amount of light emitted. This is obviously for close up stuff and should only be used for very short periods. Sound is louder at night so gas stoves, pot lids, handles rattling and rustling of food packets all make lots of noise. Depending on wind and terrain food smells will also travel same as smoke, deodorants, some bug sprays and toothpaste. The military meals are ‘wet’ rations i.e. not freeze dried or dehydrated and are designed so they can be eaten cold. If you are being stealthy and you can’t have a fire then either use the heater packs which work on chemical reaction or just eat them cold. You can eat freeze dried food cold but it takes a lot longer to rehydrate with cold water. Last thing, I noticed your kit was spread out all over the place. Kit should either be in use, in your hand or in your bag. Once you’ve used it put it back otherwise you will lose it or if you have to leave the area in a hurry it takes too long to pack everything up and you’re more likely to lose stuff. Just my two cents. Stay safe.

Nobody got hardtack in their BOB? You can lighten your bag w/o grill. You can cook fish on a stick or a rock next to fire. No need really. Grill gets greasy to be put back in bag. Just a hassle. I gotta victorinox with saw scissors etc. No need for cabin build in case short stint of emergency.

I love the light. what I did not like was the fact that you did not bring your water purification system with you. Always bring your water purification system you there to make a video but what happens if SHTF while your there. Also no trauma kit; Why did you bring a pillow but no tourniquet or a SAM splint. This is not about me getting on you, like your channel: this is about educating the viewers in how to think. And no I'm not a know it all, but I am an Eagle Scout (Always Be Prepared). Thanks for the video.
