Build a Garden Trellis
Poplar isn’t the best choice for exterior projects, but this wood was free, cut off from Jeff’s shop, Greene Street Joinery.
That being said, I think this trellis will last at least a few years. I’m planning to only have it in the ground from mid June through September. Off-season I’ll Hang it under the soffit at the back of the shed. Next spring I’ll add another coat of Epi oil and maybe roofing tar where the spikes have ground contact.

Don't forget to trim a lot of the side shoots in order to promote fruit growth. It will produce a much better harvest when the time comes.

hmm, all my tomatos are the bushy kind, but scaled down a bit this would be great for beans, peas, and the like.
